My Hero Academia Season 6 English dub will soon be available to stream on Crunchyroll. The latest season of this anime series premiered on October 1, 2022, more than a year of the Season 5 premiere. However, Season 6 is currently only available in original Japanese audio and English subtitles. So, when is the English dub version airing on Crunchyroll? Keep reading to find out!

Crunchyroll Announces My Hero Academia English Dub At Comic Con

On Saturday at the New York Comic Con My Hero Academia panel, Crunchyroll announced that it will stream the latest season of the anime in English dub. As per the official announcement, the dubbed version will start airing on October 15, 2022. This new season will air for two continuous cours (a quarter of a year) totaling 25 episodes.

My Hero Academia Season 6 adapts Kohei Horikoshi’s ‘Paranormal Liberation War’ arc from the original manga. The arc features an all-out war that happens between the villains and heroes. The opening theme song, Hitamuki, of the latest series, is performed by SUPER BEAVER. On the other hand, the ending theme song, SKETCH, is performed by Kiro Akiyama.

Crunchyroll’s My Hero Academia Season 6 Is A Simulcast

The series is a simulcast and is currently streaming on Crunchyroll at the same time as in Japan.

As per Anime News Network, the action anime series’ first season premiered on April 2016 with a total of 13 episodes. However, for Season 2, the format was changed to a total of 25 episodes which premiered in April 2017. Next, the third season premiered in April 2018 following the same episode pattern.

My Hero Academia Season 4 premiered on October 2019 followed by Season 5 in March 2021. Both these seasons also had 25 episodes. The series also had two-episode OVA that screened in Japan from June 16-19. Written by Kohei, the manga was first serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump starting July 7, 2014. Currently, the manga has a total of 36 volumes and is licensed by Viz Media for its English publication in North America.

What Is My Hero Academia’s Plot About?

The anime series is set in a world where Quirks (superpowers) have become very common. However, the protagonist, Izuku Midoriya, is a boy who is born without a Quirk. Given his positive attitude towards life, he still wishes to become a superhero sometime in the future. Scouted by Japan’s greatest hero, All Might, Midoriya is blessed by a Quirk bestowed on him after recognizing his potential. This helps him become a part of a prestigious high school dedicated to superheroes that undergo strenuous training.

The anime series has a massive fan following with a total of 115 episodes that have aired to date. The manga has also inspired 8 OVAs in total.
