Sherri Shepherd fired shots at Kanye West. She’s doing her own version of “Hot Topics” on her new talk show. On Wednesday’s broadcast, Sherri didn’t hold back when she brought up Kim Kardashian’s ex-husband. The audience also made it clear they weren’t a fan when his image popped up on the screen behind her.

They immediately booed him on live television. This might come as a shock to the rapper who thinks he’s well-received by the general public. His name popped up during the “Hot Topic” segment of Wednesday’s show when Sherri mentioned singer, Ari Lennox. The R&B singer talked about trust in relationships.

Fired shots at Kanye West

Sherri Shepherd mentioned an interview in which the “Hoodie” singer has trouble with trusting people. Sherri noted that there are artists who are “more successful” than the singer. If she dated one of them, it could help her career and allow her to sort out her trust issues. Sherri thinks rapper Drake would be a good match since he’s a “safe” choice and it’s a “win-win” since they could collaborate.

It would be good press for both artists. Sherri brought up rapper Future but then joked about his baby mamas. She warned Ari that he is “gonna get you pregnant.” Kanye West then appeared on the screen. The audience booed him. Even some of the camera crew shook their heads.

Sherri Shepherd agreed with them. She looked at his image and put her hand to her head. The talk show host then shared a warning for Ari if she were to ever date the Yeezy designer.

“I will say this, Ari, if you do date Kanye, he will lock you in a basement,” Sherri Shepherd joked. “And even worse, you’ll have to wear them Yeezys, girl. Oh my gosh.”

Kanye hasn’t been a hit with people lately. His eccentric behavior and outbursts on social media have some concerns about his mental health. These days, Kanye makes more news for his behavior than his music. As of recently, he’s been making headlines for his rumored romance with Victoria’s SecretAngel Candice Swanepoel.

Earlier this month, Sherri Shepherd debuted her new talk show with the help of her friends. On Monday, September 12, she kicked off Sherri amid a premiere week that had star-studded cameos. To the chagrin of Wendy Williams, she received her blessing from former daytime queen Oprah Winfrey.

On her first show, Sherri Shepherd interviewed Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss and comedian Kim Whitley. She also had viral sensation Lorene Harmon, the 97-year-old who declared that she was looking for a sugar daddy in Walmart. Sherri also received messages from her famous friends, including Garcelle Beauvais, Jenny McCarthy, Rosie O’Donnell, and Tracy Morgan.
