What Is UPtv’s Plus One At An Amish Wedding About?
According to the UPtv synopsis, April Monroe (Stineman) is a big city doctor whose career is on the rise. Her job and her New York City life are spectacular. That includes her charming boyfriend, Jesse (Joy). Jesse is a veterinarian who has a way with her heart. However, he just never wants to talk about his family.
Things start to heat up as Jesse plans a romantic trip to Paris, a complete surprise to April. She rarely gets time to herself as she is so busy as a physician.
But, those special plans have to be put on pause. That is because Jesse gets an invitation to his brother’s wedding. Who is his plus one? Why, April, of course.
But, Jesse has been hiding a very big detail about this family. They are Amish. Moreover, Jesse’s mother does not like or approve of Englisher strangers.
The trip to Amish Country is fraught with emotions and and frustrations. Many from Jesse’s family see April as a threat to their desire to reunite with Jesse.
Can they all find a way to accept each other? Will love prevail?

I am watching the movie now and realize they stole the entire soundtrack from “While You Were Sleeping”. How unoriginal and disappointing!! Is that even legal?
I am watching the movie right now and agree with Cathy’s above comment. It is sad that a film had to use “While You Were Sleeping”s soundtrack for their movie. It is very disappointing to be thinking of another movie, due to them using another movies soundtrack, instead of being able to concentrate on the movie I’m currently watching. I wonder if the movie makers of While You Were Sleeping know of the music being used?

I 💝💝 the movie and am fairly sure the theme music was approved so as not to infringe on any prior movie! It was a very sweet movie with some humor, too and it had a great ending! It’s a feel-good movie and one where no foul language was used! We all can use a bit of goodness in this world; don’t you think?
