Sasha Farber Had An Emergency Surgery After ‘DWTS’ Premiere
DWTS pro Sasha Farber and his celebrity partner Selma Blair absolutely stole the show when Season 31 premiered last night. Many viewers were in tears watching from home — and so were many audience members and even cast members. Selma has worked really hard in order to perform in the competition this year and fans felt she was phenomenal. Even amid the challenges that MS presents, she and Sasha managed to pull off an amazing performance and leave the audience in tears.
But sadly, it seems like Sasha had some health struggles of his own after the show. He posted on his Instagram stories that he had to rush off to receive emergency surgery after the show ended. Keep reading to see what happened.
Sasha Farber had a medical emergency after the episode ended
Selma Blair is incredibly thankful she had the chance to compete on Dancing With The Stars this year. She and Sasha absolutely stole the show and captivated the audience’s hearts during their Viennese Waltz to David Cook’s “Time of My Life.”
The duo performed incredibly well during the show’s opening night, but it seems like something went wrong not long after the episode ended. Monday night, Sasha posted to his Instagram stories revealing that he had to go straight to the dentist.
The Australian dancer first posted a selfie of himself and the dentist.
Afterward, he shared an image of himself resting at home with his faithful dog Grinch at his side.
“Had to rush to an emergency surgery, but all good and in bed ready for tomorrow, still on a high about tonight, it was truly inspiring CANT wait for tomorrow,” he wrote.
He didn’t go into many details, but it’s apparent it was dental-related. It could be a chipped tooth or any number of things. Now, fans just hope that Sasha has time to rest and recover ahead of next Monday night’s episode.
The dancer seems to be doing well amid his divorce
Although Sasha Farber and Emma Slater got engaged on DWTS, it seems like their love story has come to an end. They announced their split public in August. But even so, it seems like these two exes are staying on great terms. Sasha, Emma, and Selma Blair were all spotted in public together in Los Angeles. Their marriage may not have worked out, but fans are just happy they seem to be happy and have a friendship.
With any luck, Sasha Farber will be back in the ballroom when Dancing With The Stars returns to Disney+ this Monday night. Week 2 will be Elvis Night and it’s definitely going to be an exciting episode!
