‘DWTS’ Season 31: Who Took Home The Highest Score In Night 1?
The premiere episode of DWTS Season 31 was definitely a memorable season opener! Fans all over the United States, and even now in Canada, tuned in to watch their favorite pros and celebrity contestants perform.
So who performed well, who stumbled, and who went home at the end of the night? Keep reading to find out exactly what happened on Disney+ last night.
The DWTS Season 31 competitors brought their A-game last night
DWTS Season 31 is here and the competition is fierce. Fifteen couples remain and it’s still anyone’s competition at this point. Many fans aren’t watching this season since it moved to Disney+, but they’re still curious to know what happened.
Who went home and who earned the highest score of the night?
It was clear that each competing couple gave the routine everything they had. However, one couple had to go home at the end of the night. Pro dancer Peta Murgatroyd and actor Jason Lewis sadly said goodbye to the rest of the DWTS Season 31 cast. The actor joined the competition after his fiancee urged him to give it a try. Their time on the show was cut short after failing to win over audience members.
But the highest score of the night went to the last performer — TikToker Charli D’Amelio and her pro partner, Mark Ballas.
The pair performed the cha-cha-cha to “Savage” by Megan Thee Stallion and earned an 8 from every single judge. That made their total score 32 and the highest score of the night!
Fans that want a chance to rewatch Charli and Mark’s performance can play it over and over on Disney+. However, it doesn’t appear that the show will upload performances to YouTube this year. Disney+ seems to be the only place to tune in and see performances of DWTS Season 31.

Mark Ballas returns to the stage after several years away
Many Dancing With The Stars fans weren’t at all expecting Mark Ballas to return this year. But they were very excited to realize that he had. When GMA unveiled the cast of DWTS Season 31, Mark proudly stepped forward to take his place next to Charli.
The Mirrorball Trophy winner said that he opted to return to the stage after executive producer Conrad Green personally invited him. There have been many changes to Dancing With The Stars this year, but Mark’s return is definitely one everyone can get behind.
The next episode of DWTS Season 31 will premiere this coming Monday night on Disney+. It’s Elvis Night and the action begins at 8 PM eastern time and 5 PM pacific time. Don’t forget to tune in and see what happens next!
