‘Below Deck Med’ Can’t Find Hannah Ferrier’s Replacement?
Fans wonder if Below Deck Med is having trouble finding Hannah Ferrier’s replacement. The former chief stew lost her job in the middle of Season 5 when she had unregistered Valium and CBD pen in her belongings. The reality series has struggled to find her replacement ever since.
Some fans think the show might be cursed after the controversial firing. It sparked a heavy debate about prescription drug use and mental health on social media. In Season 6, new chief stew Katie Flood made her debut but wasn’t met with a warm welcome.
Some fans thought she was too soft after the tough but fair Hannah that was on since the beginning. Does Below Deck Med struggle to secure a new chief stew? Read on to learn more.
Natasha Webb is not received well by fans
Below Deck Med fans aren’t interested in Natasha Webb or her boy problems. She has caused more drama but not the right kind. According to Head Topics, the Bravo series might have a “chief stew problem.” For some reason, they can’t find the right chief stew that has the perfect balance that Hannah had on the show.
At the start of Season 7 of Below Deck Med, Natasha admitted that she hooked up with Chef Dave White on another boat they worked on. The pair tried to keep their two-month boatmance a secret but failed. Even their crew members could tell there was something between them, especially during the crew outings.
Fans blame Natasha for leading Dave on. They think she’s the reason why he got drunk and rage-texted her. Natasha was fearful for her life that night. The reason why Dave got so angry is that she became cold and detached from him. Dave apologized for what happened and owned up to it.
As for Natasha, she’s doing what she did to Dave to her own ex-boyfriend. She got back with him after she had a change of heart about Dave. In a previous episode of Below Deck Med, he also had a downward spiral and sent her cruel text messages. Natasha lost interest in him after he got attached.
Below Deck Med needs a chief stew with longevity
In a recent interview, Hannah Ferrier addressed the show’s problem with finding a replacement. She says it’s important for them to find a chief stew that has longevity.
“It’s really hard because obviously, they’ve changed the chief stew every season since I left,” Hannah said, per Us Weekly. “And I feel like it’s such an important role on Below Deck to fill.”
She was previously replaced by Bugsy Drake on Season 5 of Below Deck Med. Hannah feels that it’s important to find a well-rounded chief stew. Since her departure, the show brought on Katie Flood and Natasha Webb.
“Because you want somebody who is good at their job, but then at the end of the day, we kind of go like, ‘Oh, it’s yachting,’ It’s still a reality show,” Hannah explained. “So you want someone who’s funny, who’s quick. Who is not afraid to take people on. Not afraid to school their stews.”
The Below Deck Med alum says she hopes they will find the right chief stew soon. What are your thoughts? Do you think the show is struggling to find the perfect replacement? Sound off below in the comment section.
