Meri Brown Poorly Times Discussion Of Self Worth
Over the years, Sister Wives viewers have seen Meri Brown put up with quite a lot. As Kody’s first wife, she’s handled his mistreatment far longer than the other women.
In the past year, Meri has posted often on social media about recognizing her value and true worth. But fans can’t help but notice she still allows Kody to put her down and berate her. So are her inspirational posts truly genuine?
Katie Joy of Without A Crystal Ball had some serious thoughts on the matter. Keep reading to see what she had to say.
Katie Joy calls out Meri Brown’s “fake” inspirational posts
Fans used to really appreciate Meri Brown’s inspirational posts. But now, it all seems a little sad. It’s clear that Meri Brown has no interest in leaving Kody. So why does she continue to post about realizing her own self-worth when she clearly doesn’t?
YouTuber Katie Joy from Without A Crystal Ball recently spoke up about the matter on her Instagram page. She alleges that the Meri Brown fans see on TV and the Meri Brown that fans see on Instagram just aren’t the same woman. But why?
“Meri Brown has found a new multi-level marketing scheme and has teamed up with someone who coaches people to become millionaires. Meri has been mimicking and parroting the words of the woman she’s been using as a mentor,” Katie alleges. “Obviously, her posts about motivation, self-worth and happiness are not landing with Sister Wives fans. The timing of this video, released after the season premiere, made people believe she was throwing shade at Christine.”
Katie goes on to say how polygamous cults commonly condition women in the group to believe that their jealous feelings about other women make them bitter and selfish. Many of these groups believe that putting up with hardship and pain increases their heavenly reward.
“Meri’s message may not be about Christine, but the timing is poor. Additionally, We hope Meri can use her time to break the cycles of abuse by Kody rather than attacking Christine for leaving the abuse.”

Where was the TLC star in the season premiere?
Fans that caught the Sister Wives Season 17 premiere noticed that Meri was barely in the episode at all. Was this a snub on TLC’s part? More than likely, the network just really wanted to focus on Kody and Christine’s drama. Meri will likely play a bigger role as the season continues.
Love Sister Wives? The new season is here. Catch a brand new episode of Season 17 on TLC starting this Sunday night at 10 PM. Tune in and see what Meri Brown and the rest of the family are up to. You won’t want to miss out!
