‘Today Show’ Cast Shakeup: Who’s Leaving?
There is a cast shakeup on the Today Show. The morning show is looking for a new co-host after one of its longtime co-anchors leaves. There have been rumors for months about who could be leaving. Read on to learn more and to see if you guessed it right.
Who is leaving the Today Show?
The Today Show is looking for a host with a journalism background to sit behind the desk. If you have experience in front of the camera, you’re in luck. Jo Ling Kent announced that she will leave the morning show. On Wednesday, September 7, she shared the news on Twitter.
Jo Ling included a collage of photos of herself on the set and behind the scenes of the Today Show. The first one shows her preparing for a news report. The NBC News correspondent wore a bright red trench coat. The next photo shows her interviewing someone behind the desk.

She hasn’t shared what inspired her to move on. She only revealed in the following tweet that she is “grateful” for her experience on the Today Show. Jo Ling is also grateful for all the “extraordinary experiences” she’s had. She followed up with even more photos of herself on the set of the morning show.

Jo Ling Kent gets a kind send-off
Many of her Today Show cohorts took the tweet to share their wishes. Michael Cappetta wrote: “Good luck and congrats! Can’t wait to see what you do next!” Emma Goss added: “Huge congrats, Jo, so excited for you! I’m so lucky I got to learn from the best!”
Kait Richmond tweeted: “Congrats, Jo! You were always one of my favorites to work with and I can’t wait to see what’s next!”

Who cares that segment sucks. Haven’t watch the today show for years!
Then how do you know it sucks? I watched for 25 years but have not watched one time since they treated Anne Curry so badly. Therefore, I don’t even know who this person that is leaving is.

I agree. She was do rude and confrontational to Vice President Kamala Harris in an interview. She’s rude, unprofessional and interviews some with bizarre journalist prosecuting tone and manner.
Savannah needs to go, she tries to hog the storylines and she is fashion wise about 20 years behind the tes, she has no personality and she is a drain on what could be a very good program…..it is also quite apparent that she is jealous of hidas on air personality and reported with the audience……she does nothing to enhance the program at All..

Couldn’t disagree more. If Savannah leaves, so do I! The ever present wide smile on Hoda’s face gets annoying….esp early in the morning. Savannah is bright and reports on news very professionally. I think her personal appearance is very appropriate!…esp for a tall woman.
Time for Al, Hoda and Jenna, especially Jenna, to leave. Bring on the younger regime, Thomas Llamas, etc. Jenna reminds me of the obnoxious Tamron Hall and Jenna Wolfe during their stints, thankfully they are gone. Jenna just survives on her name and her screeching is super annoying.
Omg that is I that I was the only one that noticed that I noticed when she interviews people she dose not give them time to answer the question.
I stopped watching Today as I personally like Savanah She lacks so much and isn’t what I judge as a news worthy personality
The whole show needs yo b revamped. Always been in 2 or 3 in viewership- it’ll nvr b like GMA ~ and it’s beginning to be exhausting as well.
Is Jenna Bush still on with Hoda? I love Jenna.
The today show is an EXCELLENT show. But Genna has got to go. She reminds me of KAMALA HARRIS, she seems to be over ACTING as she pretends to like who she is working with. Genna is actually doing the today show more harm than good. Now I would like to talk about what SAVANNAH brings to the today show. She brings excitement to the today show, she is for real. SAVANNAH enjoys being on the show, she is pure ENJOYMENT to watch as she does what comes natural to her. SAVANNAH makes the today show a pleasure to watch.
I agree that Savannah should go. She has brought tension to the set by her friction with Hoda. She also brings way to much of her political bias to the screen. I don’t want to tune into the today show to have political spins shoved in my face.
I want a team to tell me what’s going on in the world, put a smile on my face…anyway, and entertain me.
Seems to me Savanah causes nothing but problems, perhaps it’s time to move on. She also doesn’t have a very good camera ypersonality…always pissed about something.
Please, Hoda needs to retire or just keep the job with Jenna. It’s time for her to leave, she’s hard to look at and listen to.
I Love the Today Show except for her. I do not like the other morning shows, never watch them. Please leave the show Hoda.
What a hostile group of people! if you don’t like the show, you have plenty of options. Instead of unloading your mean comments, try this:
Swipe away, move on and let it go. Unloading your bully-like comments does not serve any purpose. No one cares that you think Hoda is too happy or Savannah hogs the good stories. Once you learn to pass the opportunity to bash someone and move on, you will begin to feel better about yourself.
Please stop talking about the Today Show. I love all the people on that show. Savannah, Hoda and all the Today family bring something that is exciting and fun to the show.
