The holidays are coming soon, and Christmas isn’t Christmas without a Candace Cameron Bure movie. However, fans still think that CCB is making one for Hallmark this year.
According to Cinema Blend, CCB’s 5.6 million Instagram fans keep asking her about her upcoming Hallmark movie. They report that she created an Instagram Story explaining that she has left Hallmark for Great American Family.
“A lot of you asked me if I have a new movie coming out on Hallmark Channel and I actually moved to a new channel called Great American Family. So, I’m hoping you will follow me over. … But I do have a new Christmas movie coming up. That’s what I’m working on right now and I’m also producing some others. But I’m making them for you so that’s what I’m doing. It’s like Christmas season is here.”
Back in April, CCB shocked fans when it was announced that she was leaving Hallmark and headed to GAC, which is now called Great American Family.
Moreover, she did not go there to just act in upcoming movies. Her contract includes an executive role. She will be overseeing and curating content.
That also includes her production company, Candy Rock Entertainment developing and producing content for all of the channels, for both Great American Family and Great American Living.
However, her fans don’t understand that she is no longer on Hallmark. They will need to check with their cable provider to find Great American Family.
What Do We Know About Candace Cameron Bure’s New Christmas Movie?
Now that we know that Candace Cameron Bure is not making a Hallmark Christmas movie, what do we know about her Great American Christmas movie?
First, this movie is called A Christmas Present. They are filming it in Tulsa, Oklahoma during the month of September.
Although we do not have her co-stars, we know that Lesley Demetriades (Two Turtle Doves, A New Year’s Resolution) is directing, with a script by Rick Garman (Groundswell, To Catch A Spy).
In addition, Garman worked with Candace on the script, as it has a religious twist. So far, this is what we know about the script.
CCB plays a Type-A personality. This mother is celebrating the holidays with her widowed brother. The overall meaning of this movie is about embracing the holiday season.
