Carlin Bates Shares Update On Kids’ Health, Can’t Catch A Break
Bringing Up Bates star Carlin Bates Stewart shared a new update with fans this week and revealed what is going on with her kids’ health. She and Evan Stewart’s two kids, Layla, 2 years, and Zade, 5 months, are a little under the weather, unfortunately. If you didn’t know, Carlin hasn’t recently been able to catch a break. Shortly after welcoming her second child to the world in March, Carlin began having seizure-like episodes. She has passed out several times and has even hit her head, resulting in a concussion. At this point, she’s still awaiting answers.
Since these episodes began, she’s been in and out of the hospital for various tests. She’s currently on anti-seizure medication.
Now, Carlin isn’t the only one with health concerns. Layla and Zade are under the weather, but fortunately, it’s nothing too serious. Still, it’s more on Carlin’s plate and more for her to worry about amid her own episodes. It looks like she can’t seem to catch a break between her doctors’ appointments and now her kids’ illnesses.

On her Instagram Stories this week, Carlin Bates shared a new photo of her kids, Layla, 2 years, and Zade, 5 months, sleeping in bed together. Carlin wrote, “The kids have been under the weather with cold/fever so we have spent the weekend in the house!”
Then, the Bringing Up Bates star added, “So hard seeing your babies sick.”
You can see the photo below. Note that Carlin Bates used a filter that blurred the kids, so they are out of focus.
Fortunately, it doesn’t sound like Layla and Zade are too sick. So, hopefully, they can recover quickly and be back to normal in no time. Not too long ago, the little boy had a bad cold and needed breathing treatments.
Maybe Carlin Bates will have another update on herself and her kids soon. In the meantime, she’s probably keeping plenty busy with her health issues and her children’s colds and fevers.
