‘Survivor’ 43 Castaways, Premiere Details Officially Revealed
Today, CBS announced the Survivor 43 (2022) castaways. This means that the premiere is right around the corner. Until now, the network had only dropped a few of the details. Keep reading to meet the castaways fighting for the $1 million grand prize.
The cast was previously leaked back in May, but now, it’s official.
When does Survivor 43 premiere?
In case you missed it, the 43rd edition of the CBS series will premiere on Wednesday, September 21 at 8 PM ET/PT. The exciting competition kicks off with a two-hour premiere on CBS, the CBS app, and Paramount+.
As always, Jeff Probst will resume his role as beloved host. The 18 castaways are stranded on the islands of Fiji and must work hard to overcome both physical and mental challenges. They must choose between risk and reward while rationing their limited food and supplies.
Alliances will be formed and strategies will be developed. But by the end of the competition, just one castaway will be left standing.
Meet the new castaways.
On Wednesday, August 31, CBS dropped more details, including the Survivor 43 castaways. Just one of these 18 castaways will walk away as the Sole Survivor with the $1 million prize.
The castaways are divided up into three tribe: The Baka Tribe, The Vesi Tribe, and The Coco Tribe.
The Baka Tribe
The Baka Tribe includes the following castaways:
- Elisabeth “Elie” Scott, 31, clinical psychologist from Atlanta, Georgia
- Mike “Gabler” Gabler, 52, heart valve specialist from Houston, Texas
- Morriah Young, 28, teacher from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
- Owen Knight, 30, college admissions director from Bethesda, Maryland
- Jeanine Zheng, 24, UX designer from South Hamilton, Massachusetts
- Sami Layadi, 19, pet cremator from Las Vegas, Nevada

The Vesi Tribe
The Vesi Tribe on Survivor 43 is made up of these six castaways:
- Dwight Moore, 22, graduate student from Palo Alto, California
- Nneka Ejere, 43, pharmacist from Weatherford, Texas
- Cody Assenmacher, 35, elevator sales from Preston, Ohio
- Noelle Lamber, 25, U.S. Paralympian from Londonderry, New Hampshire
- Jesse Lopez, 30, political science PhD from Venice, California
- Justine Brennan, 29, cyber security sales from Sunnyvale, California

The Coco Tribe
Finally, the Coco Tribe features the final six castaways.

- Ryan Medrano, 25, warehouse associate from Savannah, Georgia
- Geo Bustamante, 36, project manager from Miami, Florida
- Karla Cruz Godoy, 28, educational project manager from San Diego, California
- Cassidy Clark, 26, designer from Plano, Texas
