Teri Hatcher & James Tupper Star In Hallmark’s Mid-Love Crisis
On Monday, Hallmark Media announced that Teri Hatcher and James Tupper are starring in an upcoming movie called Mid-Love Crisis. The two play former high school sweethearts that connect over three decades after they graduated.
According to Variety, this movie is premiering in the fall, and co-starring Brian Markinson (A Million Little Things, Mayor Of Kingstown), June Laporte (When Calls The Heart, V.C. Andrews’ Pearl In The Mist), and Matreya Scarrwener (V.C. Andrews’ Heaven, Fakes.
Joie Botkin (Maple Valley Christmas, Project Christmas Wish) wrote the script, with Terry Ingram (Deliver By Christmas, The Wedding Veil) directing.
What Is Hallmark’s Mid-Love Crisis About?
In this Hallmark Movies & Mysteries rom-com, Mindy (Hatcher) is not looking forward to her big 5-o that is coming up soon. She “realizes she’s in the throes of a bonafide mid-life crisis.”
Hanging out at the family lake house with her daughter Rita (Laporte), and Rita’s girlfriend, Emily (Scarrwener), someone from her past arrives.
Emily’s Uncle Sam (Tupper), is Mindy’s high school sweetheart. Moreover, it has been over 30 years since they spoke.
Soon, things become more complicated. Rita wants to propose to Emily, and she wants her father to be there for this big event. That means that two of Mindy’s exes will be under the same roof, now, during her mid-life crisis.
“As the weekend progresses, an assertiveness inside her awakens and Mindy finds herself not only embracing her life but discovering what it is she truly wants as she gets ready to start the next chapter.”
Teri Hatcher’s Talents Make Mid-Love Crisis Role Special
Elizabeth Yost, Hallmark Media’s senior vice president of programming revealed that Teri Hatcher’s talent range makes her role as Mindy work.
“Teri Hatcher has both impeccable comedic timing and the ability to play dramatic roles, which made her the perfect choice to bring Mindy to life.”
Sounds like there will be both comedy and drama in this upcoming HMM movie. Most of all, it also sounds like there is a lot of good chemistry, per Elizabeth Yost.
“She and James Tupper have such great chemistry on screen, and we know our viewers will be drawn to their characters’ story.”
When Is Hallmark’s Mid-Love Crisis Premiering?
Hallmark Movies & Mysteries has not revealed the Mid-Love Crisis premiere date. That should be in the upcoming weeks.
