Whoopi Goldberg shares thoughts on cast shakeup

The countdown is officially set. The View shared the teaser for Season 26, which returns on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 on social media. The talk show promises big changes like “new views” and “new co-hosts.” Ana Navarro and Alyssa Farah Griffin will join the show as the full-time permanent hosts.

Whoopi Goldberg shared her thoughts on the cast shakeup. She admitted that they’re very much a “family.” She referred to her co-hosts Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, and newly-announced Ana and Alyssa. Whoopi also called them “the gutsiest women on TV.”

The show is back with a new attitude. As TV Shows Ace previously, Ana walked out with fists in the air. She looked like she was ready to start a fight. Joy then warned the fans, “This is The View so watch out.” She called it a “unique show,” despite influcing many others over the years.

Barbara Walters first started the show in 1997. The former TV journalist wanted to have a group of women sit around the table and discuss different topics. The ABC daytime series also doesn’t shy away from politics. The View went on hiatus this summer after wrapping up its 25th season.

Around the time, producers announced that Ana and Alyssa would take over Meghan McCain’s position when the show returned in September 2022. Reviews have been mixed. Most fans are happy to see Ana finally join the table. However, they feel that the former White House Speaker is too “problematic” for the long-running talk show.

Alyssa worked under the Trump administration. She left the position to become a political commentator on CNN. Alyssa previously expressed her gratitude to join The View. She feels that she found a platform where she can “bring a new perspective.”

  1. Why can’t the view be diverse? Every day, the same democratic position on all topics of the news from the day before. It would be great to see the ladies be ladies & speak intellectually about a subject without bullying. No-one can speak against Pres. Biden or democrats on inflation, gas prices, or even the Ukraine war without one of the ladies speaking over a different opinion. One of your replacement hosts is obviously Republican, but she feels the need to side with the other hosts on a topic to keep her newly appointed. It is obvious that she wants the job more than speak her truth. The “bullies” won’t allow diversity. How much is Pres. Biden paying this group to back him. It’s a shame how this evolved from 1997. Bring Elisabeth back so we can hear both sides again.

  2. Whoopi Goldberg is the reason the show is a success! Without her the show would be off the air! The other hosts do a good job but not enough to hold the show together!

    1. Whoopi Goldberg sets s terrible example for young girls. She has communistic views, a filthy mouth & it’s obvious that if you’re not a DemocRAT, your worthless! She needs to go!!!! She destroys a show that’s suppose to be non decisive! No wonder Meghan McCain left! I don’t blame her!!!

  3. ABSOLUTELY!! SHE SEEMS TO BE WELL-BALANCED, HUMOROUS,SERIOUS AND ALSO, A PEACE KEEPER🤣🥀😊👍✌🙄❤❤
