The Talk co-host Natalie Morales got major praise for her career move. CBS fans were in shock when she showed up in Genoa City. Earlier this week, Natalie made an appearance on The Young and the Restless. She admitted that she “stepped out of her comfort zone” when it come to her television role.
On Wednesday, August 17, Natalie made her debut on the daytime soap. She played the role of Talia Morgan, who is an investigative reporter who took interest in the Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) story. Talia is focused on Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters), who recently came back from the dead.
Y&R fans shocked over Natalie Morales’ new role
During the episode, Y&R fans took to Twitter to rave about Natalie Morales’ new role. Most of them were happy to see her on their favorite show. In the scene, her character inquired to Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) about Diane Jenkins.
The Young and the Restless Twitter account shared a shot from the episode before it aired on Wednesday.

Fans flocked to the comment section to share their thoughts. Most of them were in love with the new character. They couldn’t help but notice how good Natalie was at her new role. Others were inspired by her latest career move.

Natalie Morales opened up about her new role. She admits that it’s something from what she’s used to. In an interview with TV Insider, Natalie joked that she felt in “over [her] head” about acting on a soap. However, she was excited about doing something new.
The Talk is currently on hiatus
As TV Shows Ace previously reported, The Talk is currently on hiatus. It was supposed to run a season finale on August 5 with a series of episodes that following week. Instead, reruns aired during that week. The decision came after the passing of the show’s executive producer, Heather Gray.
Her cause of death is unknown. According to reports, the staff learned that she died from “an unforgiving disease.” In the meantime, Natalie Morales teased her new role on Y&R. On Wednesday, she took to her Instagram Stories to share a photo from the set of the long-running soap.
Natalie Morales posed in her very own casting chair. She wore an emerald green blazer with a black-and-white T-shirt and dark denim jeans. She wrote on the photo, “On set and ready for my debut! (Tune in today!) Meet Talia Morgan.” Natalie also held a thick script in her hand.
