K-Drama ‘Little Women’: Release Date, Plot, And More

Directed by Kim Hee-won, K-drama Little Women is soon to premiere on tvN next month. Based on an 1868 novel by the same name written by Louisa May Alcott, the series stars Nam Ji-hyun, Kim Go-eun, and Wi Ha-joon as the ‘Oh sisters.’ This adaptation from South Korea is a localized version of the novel. The original story follows the lives of four March sisters named Jo, Amy, Beth, and Meg. It details their entire journey from childhood to womanhood.

The novel is loosely inspired by the writer Alcott & her three sisters. Post its release, the novel was a huge commercial & critical success. After being a part of her latest K-drama, ‘Yumi’s Cells 2’, Kim Go-eun stars as the oldest among the three Oh sisters. On the other hand, Wi Ha-joon who stars as the youngest sister shot to fame after her stint in Netflix’s popular series Squid Game.

The middle sister, played by Nam Ji-hyun, starred in popular K-dramas such as 100 Days My Prince and Suspicious Partner. The K-drama also features All Of Us Are Dead fame Par Ji-hoo as the youngest Oh sister.

**When Will Little People Premiere On tvN?**

As revealed officially on tvN drama’s official Twitter handle, the show will premiere on September 3, 2022. The show will premiere fresh episodes every weekend. It will replace the slot at which Alchemy Of Souls currently airs on tvN. The show will air at 9:10 pm KST time which is 8:10 am ET, on tvN network.

Unlike other generic K-dramas from South Korea, this series is a bit shorter. Little Women will have a total of 12 episodes for its first season.

Although international fans won’t be able to access the K-drama being broadcast on the South Korean tv network tvN, they can do so on another platform. As per Meaww, the show will also premiere on Netflix for fans beyond South Korea at the same time as mentioned above.

**K-Drama Little People Is A Tale Of The Oh Sisters**

The eldest of the Oh sisters, Oh In-joo, played by Kim Go-eun, understands the pain of going through a financial crisis. After growing up in a poor environment, the family is still poor. So, In-joo realizes that money is an important thing to protect herself as well as her family.

However, her ordinary life becomes less than ordinary after she gets involved in a case that just might change her life.

Oh In-kyung, played by Nam Ji-hyun, who is the middle sister, is an enthusiastic reporter working at a popular news station. She is a righteous individual despite facing financial issues. She doesn’t let money take charge of her life.
