The Return Of ‘Ink Master’: When Will It Make Its Big Comeback?
After a nearly two-year hiatus, Ink Master is finally making its grand return. However, there are some big changes ahead. What can fans expect for Season 14 and when will it officially debut? Read on for all of the details.
Ink Master Undergoes A Makeover
According to The Sun, Ink Master last aired in September of 2020. At the time, it was airing on Paramount+ but Paramount chose to cancel the series. Why? They were trying to get more into movies but it seems the desire for the popular reality series has led to the revamping and return. Initially, musician Dave Navarro was the host of Ink Master. He is no stranger to being on reality television as he has his own show on MTV with his now ex-wife, Carmen Electra.
The concept of the series is simple. Tattoo artists go through different challenges in front of the best tattoo artists in the world. They then determine who is worthy of moving on in the competition. In the end, someone is named the winner getting a cash prize, sometimes a car, a feature in Inked Magazine, and more. Now, two years have gone by and big changes are ahead.
Gone is Dave Navarro as the host. Yet, according to TVLine, he will stay on as “Master of Chaos” aka the person who is in charge of “introducing crazy twists and game-changing bombs to the competition.” As for who will replace Navarro as the official host, that honor is being handed off to Joel Madden. He is known as Mr. Nicole Richie and is a member of the band Good Charlotte. Of course, there are more twists and turns ahead.
It Just Gets Better
Ink Master is also changing up the judges for Season 14. They will be former winner Ryan Ashley, artist Nikki Hurtado, and Miami Ink alum Ami James. James made a name for himself on the popular reality series which branched off into NY and LA Ink. He is also a very well-known tattoo artist. As for the prize, it has been upped to 250K plus there should be more to go along with it.
So, when does the big show finally begin, that is the big question for fans. After all, they have been waiting for close to two years now. Season 14 will premiere on September 7, 2022. There will be 10 episodes that can be seen on Paramount+. It will be interesting how the dynamic has changed after all of this time. Plus, there is a new host, new judges, and a pandemic that slightly halted some business.
