‘Seoul Vibe’ Heads To Netflix: See Release Date
TV shows and movies from South Korea are some of the most watched originals on Netflix. Take, for example, Squid Game, which pulled off a staggering 1.65 Billion hours of viewing in just 28 days from its September 17 premiere. Another highly anticipated South Korean crime drama that is soon to premiere on Netflix is Seoul Vibe.
This year has already taken shape as an excellent one for K-Dramas on the streaming platform. With this new movie, fans get to take a step back in time to the Seoul Olympics held in 1988. This was when South Korea was leaving military rule and transitioning into a new era. It is slated to release worldwide in August 2022 on different dates depending on the location. Viewers in the United States can watch the movie after its premiere on August 26, 2022.
Seoul Vibe Is Rated BBFC 15 Citing Use Of Bad Language
Directed by Moon Hyun Sung, the movie gets a 15 rating by the BBFC. This means the movie is suitable only for viewers aged 15 or up. Given the use of bad language and injuries, it might not be the right fit for young viewers.

As per What’s On Netflix, this Netflix Original has a 138 minutes runtime. But, what is the storyline of Seoul Vibe? Set in the middle of the Summer Seoul Olympic Games in 1988, the movie focuses on a thrilling car chase. This pursuit takes place on the streets of Seoul as a crew of talented drivers, the Samgyedong Supreme Team, find themselves in the middle of an investigation involving a slush fund.
What Does Seoul Vibe’s Storyline Emphasize?
The movie emphasizes classic vehicles, breathtaking driving sequences, groovy soundtracks, and popping visuals. Produced by Kwon Oh-hyun and Yoo Hyung-Seok, the movie credits Andmarq Studio as its production company alongside UAA as the co-production firm.

“Worldwide excitement is escalating in Seoul in the days leading up to the opening of the 1988 Summer Olympics. The fashion is old school, the music is sentimental, and the racing is the best in the world. Netflix Original Brings Familiar Faces As Its Cast Lineup
The movie has an exciting cast lineup as well. Yoo Ah In from Secret Love Affair fame plays the role of Dong Wook, while Go Kyung Pyo from Private Lives fame plays Woo Sam. Apart from these two popular names, the movie also features Lee Kyu Hyung, Park Joo Hyun, Ong Seong Wu, Kim Sung Kyun, Moon So Ri, and Jung Woong In. Netflix has also released a picture with the cast showing some very familiar faces that have previously appeared under other banners on the streaming platform.

The movie started filming in August 2021 and was finally wrapped up by February 2022. Eurwang-dong, located in South Korea, served as a filming location for the movie while the budget stood around $10 million.
