Taylor Swift Gets Embarrassing Top Honor?
Taylor Swift wants to be excluded from the private jet conversation, one that she’s never asked to be part of. But, that hasn’t stopped fans from coming for her about her private jet use. The talented singer-songwriter wins many awards and tops the charts when it comes to her albums. Over the weekend, she topped another list.
Swift was named the No. 1 celebrity who emitted more CO2 than most private jet users. What’s also surprising is that Kylie Jenner wasn’t mentioned in the top 10 list.
Fans have come for her frequent three-minute flights. However, her boyfriend Travis Scott was mentioned on the list, which could mean she uses his as well. Kim Kardashian was also slammed for her non-stop use of her AirKim jet, which she revamped.

Listicle exposes Taylor Swift for private jet use
As TV Shows Ace previously reported, a listicle exposed Taylor Swift for her private jet use. Yard, a digital marketing agency that promotes sustainability, published a top ten list of celebrities who emit the most CO2 emissions with their frequent private jet use.
Taylor Swift received the top honor for all the wrong reasons. Her private jet made 170 flights in 200 days this year. Her total C02 emissions for the year currently sit at 8,293.54 metric tons. However, the average person only emits 7 metric tons per year. Of course, the average person doesn’t have their own private jet either.
Other celebrities who landed on the top ten list include Alex Rodriguez, Blake Shelton, Floyd Mayweather, Jay-Z, Mark Wahlberg, Oprah, and Steven Spielberg. However, it’s Taylor Swift who’s getting the most backlash on social media. Fans are already aware of her frequent private jet use thanks to the Twitter account CelebJets.
They can track her travels through that social media account. But, fans want to know where she’s going since she’s currently not on a world tour. It’s possible that Swift travels between her homes in the U.S. and in the UK. There’s also speculation that she follows her long-term boyfriend Joe Alwyn everywhere she goes.
Taylor Swifts speak out, sort of
Taylor Swift is the only celebrity on the list who spoke out about her CO2 use. Her rep responded to the ongoing criticism against her use of her private jet. The Where the Crawdad Sing featured singer doesn’t want to be part of this conversation. The “Willow” singer is not claiming responsibility since she allows her family and friends to use her private jet.
“Taylor’s jet is loaned out regularly to other individuals,” Taylor Swift’s rep told Rolling Stone. “To attribute most or all of these trips to her is blatantly incorrect.”
The last time the pop star got this much backlash was during her feud with Kanye West and then-wife Kim Kardashian. The rapper exposed the Disney+ star on Snapchat for allowing him to name-drop her in his song “Famous.” The hashtag #TaylorSwiftIsOverParty trended on Twitter. Some fans posted snake emojis on her social media posts.
