Concerned ‘GMA’ Fans Ask About Rob Marciano’s Return

GMA fans are concerned about Rob Marciano’s return. The meteorologist has been missing from the show for a long time now. The Weather Channel alum Sam Champion took over his spot. Meanwhile, Rob has poked fun at his job on social media.

Yet, fans want to know where he’s been hiding lately. Rob has not broken his silence as to why he’s no longer on the morning show. Some fans don’t think the show is the same without Rob as the head meteorologist. They took to his recent tweet to ask him about his possible return.

Where is Rob Marciano?

Rob Marciano is a meteorologist and journalist who often appears on GMA. However, he’s been noticeably absent for several weeks. The show promoted Ginger Zee to the weekday position. Rob hasn’t appeared on air at his normal time slot. Some fans are concerned about his well-being — especially amid the news of his divorce.

Rob Marciano hasn’t commented on his absence. It’s unclear whether he left the show on his own accord. Some fans think he left GMA for a different time slot on ABC. Rob has also appeared on World News Tonight since 2018.

He’s normally the weekend meteorologist at Good Morning America and World News Tonight with David Muir. The TV anchor covered many devastations and natural disasters during his tenure. Rob even covered the Great American Eclipse, a solar eclipse event that went from coast to coast, during his broadcast in Oregon in 2017.

His wife Eryn Marciano filed for divorce on June 18, 2021, according to New York court records. The former couple shares two children — Madelynn and Mason. The online court documents revealed that the case is still ongoing. In May 2022, the court filed a Trial Readiness Order.

However, the exes appear to be successfully co-parenting their children. They went on a trip to Walt Disney World with their children in April 2022, according to Rob Marciano’s Instagram.

Missing GMA meteorologist pokes fun at his job

On Friday, July 29, Rob took to Twitter to poke fun at his job on ABC News. A GMA fan shared a screenshot of the journalist giving his report as a child snuck behind him and jumped into the water. He explained what happened at that moment.

“It’s about a 30-foot drop… the kid was ok until he got out of the water and I punched him in the nose… JUST KIDDING,” Rob tweeted before adding the hashtag “live TV.”

However, GMA fans were more concerned about Rob’s subsequent return. They took to his tweet to reveal that they want him back on the show. Unfortunately, he didn’t respond as to when he could return.

• “That will get his attention! Hey Rob, are you coming back to weekend GMA? We miss you!!”
• “Great to see you back regular still missed on GMA but my guess is Robin worked to get Sam Champion employed again.”
• “You have been missed. Blessings to you.”
