‘White Collar’ Star Matt Bomer Excitedly Shares New Series
Fans of White Collar and Matt Bomer have been gutted ever since the series came to an end. While there had been some chatter the cast wanted a reunion or reboot of some sort, fans assume that possibility ground to a halt when Willie Garson passed away last year. Many White Collar fans just agreed Willie was a staple in the series and they didn’t know how a reboot without him would even be possible.
Fans of Matt Bomer, however, got a nice surprise yesterday when the star excitedly dropped the trailer of a new project he’s been working hard on. Turns out, the White Collar actor was part of the cast for a Netflix limited series called Echoes. The trailer for the series dropped yesterday by Netflix giving Matt Bomer the green light to share it with his fans and followers.
The actor penned in the caption of his Instagram post: “I’m so excited to share the trailer for #Echoes- coming to @netflix August 19th. @michellemonaghan put in twice the work on this one- and it was incredible to witness her work, along with the rest of this phenomenal cast and creative team. I can’t wait for you all to see this one!”
Matt Bomer reveals Netflix limited series
According to TvLine, Echoes is a very promising mystery thriller with co-showrunners Quinton Peeples (Runaways) and Brian Yorkey (13 Reasons Why) at the helm. Matt Bomer (as well as everyone else) is praising his co-star, Michelle Monaghan, for “performing double duty.” Turns out, the actress plays the roles of identical twins, Leni and Gina. Matt Bomer noted in his caption it was “incredible” to watch the actress take on both of these roles.
The trailer reveals the series will center around identical twin sisters Leni and Gina. The twins share a dark secret. From the time they were very small, they made a habit of switching places and living double lives. They had two houses, two husbands, and a child. The dark secret becomes a huge problem as one of the sisters goes missing.
According to the trailer, twin sister Gina spends time trying to figure out what happened to her sister Leni. Did she run away? Did she run from something? Is she dead? At the end of the trailer, Gina is met with what is assumed to be a twisted gift. Did Leni leave her sister Gina the option of choosing which life, husband, and household she wanted to spend the rest of her life living?

In the comments of his post, White Collar fans admit they are thrilled to see the actor on their screens again. Fans note they can’t wait to see what Matt Bomer brings to the table with his new role.
