White Collar star Willie Garson passed away on September 21, 2021, due to pancreatic cancer at his home in Los Angeles. The actor was 57. Now, the very same 1920s Spanish family home is on the market for $1.7 million. Garson was also popular for his supporting role in the famous 90s TV show Sex and the City. There, he portrayed Carrie Bradshaw’s stylish and fabulous best friend, Stanford Blatch. Additionally, he reprised the part in the reboot And Just Like That. Here are the details of his lavish home.
Willie Garson’s Spanish Home Is Huge
As per People, the actor purchased his 10,388 square-foot residence in 2005 in Valley Village, California, for just over $1 million. The home has three bedrooms along with three bathrooms. The lot has its own charm, added in with a luxurious pool and spa.
The living room has a beamed vaulted ceiling that gives the LA house its charming flair, while the built-in bookshelves add a minimalistic touch. Representing the authentic 1920s, the room features a beautiful wood-burning fireplace alongside a large window that provides a glimpse of the scenic beauty outside.
The American actor’s residence also features an exquisite pink dining room that opens up to an equally wonderful kitchen with stainless appliances. The kitchen is also decked with custom cabinetry and an expansive pantry. Attached to the main bedroom, is an ensuite bathroom featuring a relaxing steam shower. Plus, there’s also a bonus room that can be used as an office, nursery, or den.
California Property Listed Under Sotheby’s
Apart from the swimming pool, the Spanish house also features a pool house remodeled from what used to be a detached garage. The space also features French sliding doors fully opening up to the green backyard thriving with Oak, Sycamore, flowers, and fruit trees.
The property is listed by Bryan Abrams under Sotheby’s International Realty listing.
And Just Like That Was Willie Garson’s Last Project
At the start, Garson didn’t reveal anything about his diagnosis and continued to work. However, as his health deteriorated, he couldn’t work anymore. He revealed to his And Just Like That castmates that he could no longer work. Garson is survived by his son Nathen Garson, his family, and friends.
Before the renowned actor passed, he was shooting for And Just Like That. The show premiered on HBO Max in December 2021, just two months after the actor died. The series saw Garson reprise his role as Stanford Blatch from Sex and the City.
Shortly after the actor’s death, executive producer Michael Patrick King disclosed that he had a large story arc planned for him. However, the NYPD Blue star could only shoot three episodes, after which he became too ill to work. His final appearance was a part of the show’s first three episodes in Season 1.
People close to the actor described him as a bright light and a devoted friend.
