JoJo Siwa Breaks Silence About Bald Spot

It’s been a few months since JoJo Siwa shocked everyone by ditching her signature ponytail. According to Page Six, the former Nickelodeon star has wanted short hair since she was 7 or 8. Sadly, her mother wouldn’t allow it.

According to her recent TikTok videos, her followers and fans noticed a bald spot on one side of her head recently. JoJo Siwa explained she’s actually had the bald spot for a while. It, however, was ditching the ponytail and going short with her hair that really launched the bald spot into the spotlight.

What happened and why does she have a bald spot? Fortunately, she was happy to explain. Her first explanation, however, just confused her fans more. So, she had to clarify a second time.

Did her signature ponytail cause the bald spot?

JoJo Siwa’s first TikTok video showed several photos of herself rocking her signature ponytail. In the comments, her followers assumed this had something to do with her very tight ponytail. One fan admitted they were confused and asked if the ponytail was just too tight. Others chimed in saying they tried to tell her to ditch the ponytail. In her defense, other fans noted she was just a child at the time and she was doing whatever her mother told her to do. The caption, however, explained it wasn’t the ponytail that caused the issue. Sadly, a lot of people didn’t read the caption in the first video.

JoJo Siwa responded to one of the confused comments with a second video. In this video, she said she wanted to further explain the bald spot because so many people were getting confused.

According to the former Nickelodeon star, her ponytail had nothing to do with her bald spot on the side of her head. She explained that when she was younger, she had a stress rash on her face. The stress rash caused her to pick at her hair near the rash. Sadly, she destroyed the hair follicles picking at the hair so much. So, she was left with a bald spot.

In the comments, her followers felt sad for her. They hated nothing she went through so much trauma and stress at a young age that it caused her to destroy her hair. Others noted that they had the same issue and picking at hair was a big coping mechanism.
