Candace Cameron Bure Says Sorry For Breaking JoJo Siwa Heart
JoJo Siwa and Candace Cameron Bure both went viral after the young Nickelodeon alleged that the Full House star was the “rudest celebrity” she’d ever interacted with. Unsurprisingly, the internet was a bit flabbergasted at JoJo’s accusations because most people who have ever had the pleasure of encountering Candace Cameron Bure claimed she was one of the sweetest people on the planet.
Given the Fuller House star is a devout Christian, however, there were some fans who speculated the drama could be real because of JoJo’s sexuality. As TvShowsAce previously reported, this theory had some holes in it because JoJo had not come out of the closet yet when they interacted on The Kelly Clarkson Show. And, as far as Candace knew, they hadn’t had any other interactions.
Late last night, the Fuller House star took to Instagram with a detailed video spilling all of the tea. She said she wanted to clear the air on what happened between her and JoJo Siwa.
What really happened between Candace Cameron Bure and JoJo Siwa?
Candace Cameron Bure had glossy eyes and appeared to be near tears as she told this story to her Instagram followers. She admits she was a bit flabbergasted herself as she couldn’t recall what she did to JoJo that came off as mean and hurtful. So, she used all of her resources to reach out to JoJo Siwa. These women exchanged phone numbers and connected. Candace immediately wanted to know what she did that caused JoJo to label her this way.
JoJo admitted it was a silly and small thing. Truthfully, she had no idea the video would pick up so much traction and go viral. Candace Cameron Bure giggled a bit as she explained the younger actress did not want to tell her why because she felt silly about it.
Eventually, JoJo Siwa explained that when she was just 11, she met Candace on the red carpet. She said she went up to her and asked if she could get a picture taken with her. Sadly, her dreams were crushed when Candace shut her down. JoJo made a point to clarify that Candace wasn’t exactly mean about it. In fact, she noted she said, “Not right now.”
The Full House star apologized
Candace Cameron Bure still felt the need to apologize to JoJo Siwa. While she realized the young star believed it wasn’t a huge deal, Candace still felt like she broke JoJo’s, 11-year-old heart. Likewise, she realized this was something JoJo carried with her. Being a mother, Candace also apologized to JoJo’s mother for breaking her daughter’s heart.
The Full House star noted there was no drama between the two and she hoped everyone would just move passed it. She, however, also hoped everyone would learn from this experience. JoJo Siwa didn’t think it was a huge deal. She, however, also didn’t think her video would get nearly the attention it did. Candace said people need to remember that putting something on the internet can be damaging regardless of how big your following is.
