Live With Amy Roloff Recap: What Did You Miss? [July 21st]
During the first three to five minutes of Amy Roloff’s live stream, her viewers watch and she and Lisa struggle with technology as they set up the stream on several social media platforms. As those who have tuned into her live streams in the past, Amy always struggles with getting the technology set up in the beginning. Those interested in skipping the introductions and struggles can skip to about 10-11 minutes into the live stream. After Amy and Lisa overcome the struggles of technology, they spend a few minutes giving shout-outs to various fans.
Will There Be Another Season?
About 12 minutes into the live stream, Amy Roloff confirms they are currently filming. She clarifies that they aren’t given information about whether or not the series is moving forward with another season. Amy, however, just assumes they are currently filming episodes for the next season.
The TLC star also opened up about how she does watch the episodes of the show. She, however, has mixed emotions watching the show because it makes her feel as though she’s living in the past because she is watching something that already happened.
Amy Roloff and her friend Lisa briefly discussed when her divorce was finalized back in 2016. Then, she discussed how difficult the year 2019 was for her. She spent most of the year looking for a house. Mentioned how “tough” it was. Things got better when Chris Marek proposed to her. Things, however, got a bit upsetting again when Amy Roloff’s mother passed away.
Lisa interrupted Amy for a minute wanting to know more about her negotiations with Matt for her portion of the farm. Amy Roloff told her she was getting to it before admitting she was a bit longwinded and struggled with getting to the point. The TLC personality explained the question she gets more than anything else is why didn’t she buy the property from Matt. She explained it was a could have, would have, should have situation. And, to be blunt, she can’t go back in time.
Amy Roloff Live Stream Recap: Negotiating With Matt
The TLC personality clarifies that Matt bought her portion of the farm at half the value of an appraisal that was two years old. Amy Roloff says she agreed to sell at this price because she believed it would give her children an opportunity to get a piece of the pie at a price they could afford. Amy notes that she expected Matt to add some money to what he paid Amy for her portion. She even insisted it was “rightfully so.” She, however, did not expect him to try and sell the property for the price he currently has it listed for on the market. In a very blunt manner, she tells those watching her stream that none of their children can afford the price he has on the property now.
Amy Roloff recognizes she wasn’t a part of the negotiations between Matt and the twins. So, she had no idea how things went down. But, she really believed selling at the price she did would make it easier for Matt to make a profit and sell to his children at a price they could afford.
Amy Roloff added that she didn’t really care which one of the children ended up with the property. She just had peace of mind in knowing it would go to someone within the family one day. She, however, seemed a bit surprised when both Jeremy and Zach stepped forward with an interest. Sadly, it didn’t work out for either of the twins.
The TLC personality also made it a point to clarify that it would have taken everything she had to buy Matt out of the property. She fesses up that she was scared to make that kind of move. Amy Roloff wasn’t sure how she would recoup from that kind of purchase.
Lisa pointed out that Matt Roloff was only willing to sell the children a portion of the property that he bought from his ex-wife. She noted that Amy missed that point with her talking point. Amy Roloff agreed and clarified that Matt was essentially selling a little less than half of what he bought from Amy. And, he still wanted so much money for it. Lisa believed part of what upset Zach and Jeremy was they were hoping to buy a larger chunk of the property than what Matt was offering.
Matt Roloff Set His Standards Too High?
Amy Roloff chimed in about the size of the property noting that one of Matt’s big issues was discussing his children being entitled. Lisa also got in on the conversation saying Matt made comments regarding how he didn’t feel as though his children would be able to handle the property. So, he would sell it to them and he would end up taking care of it anyway. Amy Roloff said the biggest mistake parents make is wanting children to live up to high standards. She explained she shouldn’t want her children to do things the way she did them. She wants to see her children blossom by doing things differently and the way they want to do them.
Amy Roloff doesn’t believe Zach or Jeremy would have done things like her ex-husband. She, however, thinks Zach or Jeremy would have done a great job. Likewise, Amy points out that it would be their property after they bought it. So, Matt shouldn’t have a hand in taking care of it after they purchased it.
The TLC personality shifted that the for sale sign is up and it will take time for the family to adjust to what has happened.
Amy Roloff Live Stream Recap: Jeremy tried HARD to buy
The Little People, Big World star reveals that Jeremy Roloff tried hard to buy a chunk of the property from his father. He actually went back to his father a second time to try and make it work. Without saying numbers, Amy Roloff explained Matt wanted significantly more than what he paid her to buy her out. She implied that Jeremy had enough money to make the purchase and he really wanted to. It, however, would have taken everything Jeremy and Audrey had to buy the portion from Matt Roloff. Amy recalls sitting down with Jeremy and asking if it was worth it to spend everything he had. She reminded him he had a family to think about and it was really more than he could afford.
Shifting gears, Amy Roloff reminds fans how long each of her children have been married. Lisa agrees it is great that both Zach and Jeremy have their own property to build their own legacies on. Amy admits she’s sad about the way Roloff Farms went down. She, however, is happy that her children have all found someone to be with and are living their lives with their own families.
Will This Situation Mend The Family?
Amy Roloff hopes Matt selling the property will give the family the closure they need so they can move on. She hopes her family can not get back together for more than just major holidays.
About 30 minutes into the live, Amy Roloff and her friend Lisa proceed to start answering questions asked by fans. The first question is regarding the future of the show. Amy restates they are filming, but she knows nothing about the future of the show. Another fan asks if sharing her life on television is difficult. Amy admits it used to be. She, however, realized just being real and embracing the fact that she can’t control editing and production goes a long way.
The TLC personality recognizes that not everyone is going to appreciate her all of the time. She, however, is happy with telling her story in the hopes of it changing the life of one person.
As fans recall, Amy Roloff made meatless meatballs for dinner with Matt and Caryn. Amy noted she would NEVER be able to be a vegetarian. She added, “bless your hearts” to her vegetarian viewers.
Amy Roloff also confirmed that as far as she knows Pumpkin Season is happening this year. She, however, doesn’t have any of the details.

It’s so sad that Matt is more consumed with having money to spend on Caryn than he is about his grandchildren growing up on Roloff Farm’s. He sure has changed his tune about that. He said that was why he built the farm. But I guess his lust for his mistress Caryn made him kick his twin son’s to the curb.
He cheated Amy when he brought her out…no surprise there.
If he only realized that Caryn doesn’t love him she’s after what he has and a few minutes of fame. But either he’s blind to that or he’s willing to try to buy her love or at least more time with his sleaze bag.
But one day she’s going to turn her back on him and never look back.
Matt is pretty crippled right now and it’s only going to get worse and no one is going to be there when he comes back crying the blues and unable to take care of himself.
