‘Sister Wives’ Christine Brown Back To Filming In Flagstaff?
Sister Wives appears to be in filming mode. It looks to still be filming for Season 17 though they may just be stockpiling footage at this point. Former third wife Christine Brown was recently visiting second wife Janelle Brown in Flagstaff. Was she just stopping by to say “hello” or is this their way of integrating her back into the show?
Sister Wives Ends On A Rough Note
When Season 16 began, viewers already knew that Kody and Christine Brown had separated. Their statement had gone out in early November, about three weeks prior to the premiere. Fans eagerly awaited the season’s start so they could see how everything went down. As it turned out, it was just a build-up over a decade. Kody had openly admitted that he was not attracted to Christine when they first started courting. Yet, he loved what a breath of fresh air she was so they meshed very well. Plus, she was the “yes” wife who did absolutely everything. Finally, she had enough of that and needed to think of herself.
Fourth wife, Robyn came in and picked up where she left off but there was still so much contention in the marriage. He would needlessly yell at Christine. More so, when she questioned if polygamy was worth it anymore, Kody would not talk her down but storm away. Then the pandemic hit and he set so many unrealistic rules.
He was not even engaging with Janelle and Christine anymore but solely with Robyn which he had been for years. Not only was his marriage struggling but so were his relationships with his kids. By the end, Kody and Christine were divorced and he was disconnected from a handful of his children. How would a new season even work?
Filming Goes On?
Shortly after Season 16 of Sister Wives ended, Meri and Robyn confirmed that they were filming for the new season. Even Christine’s son Paedon shared his mom had been filming. Fans have been long wondering when exactly the new season will be coming out. Recently, Christine’s daughter, Mykelti Padron posted that she was on her way from Utah to Flagstaff. There she would be doing some filming, as well. Presumably, she was filming for Season 17.
This threw fans for a loop as the show is usually about a year behind. Mykelti’s first child had not even been born yet, they had only filmed her baby shower. Now, her baby girl, Avalon is over a year old and she is expecting twins so is there a possible time jump? Furthermore, Christine was recently in Flagstaff hanging out with her former sister wife, Janelle. Though they spend a lot of time together, was she actually in town filming? Having her bond with Janelle would be a great way to keep her on the series and fans updated on what she is up to. Plus, they are in business together, so it is an added bonus.
