Kim Plath Steps Over Line With Lydia About Intimacy?
In a new preview for the Tuesday, July 12 episode of Welcome to Plathville, Kim Plath talks to her daughter, Lydia, about intimacy. After opening up to her daughter in the preview, Kim is being called out online for overstepping. Fans think she may have crossed a line by speaking about private and personal things with her 18-year-old daughter.

Welcome to Plathville Season 4 has focused on Barry and Kim Plath’s relationship. Their marriage is falling apart and they are going their separate ways. Now, Kim has more details to share with her daughter, Lydia.
Kim Plath opens up about intimacy in her relationship.
In a preview for the newest episode of Welcome to Plathville, Kim and Lydia sit down for a chat. Kim calls it “the most difficult sit-down conversation” between herself and Lydia.
As Kim talks about her relationship with Barry and how it’s falling apart, Lydia says it just needs the “touch of the Holy Spirit” to heal it.
In a confessional, Kim explains, “Human love is a lot more complicated.”
Then, Kim tells her daughter that there’s “no intimacy” in her marriage. She explains, “It’s just lonely. It’s lonely. And I’ve told him that, like, a lot, and he doesn’t get it. And so, I’m just, I wanna be with somebody that values me for me. Because I’m tired of being neglected.”
Kim believes that she’s worth loving. She says she wants to be with someone who will “connect” with her and “care about me.”
Welcome to Plathville fans claim she went too far.
In the comments section of TLC’s preview of Welcome to Plathville, fans are claiming that Kim Plath went too far when talking to Lydia.
One fan says, “Having this conversation with your child, about her father, is wildly inappropriate. There seems to be a real lack of boundaries here, and it’s very unhealthy. A child, grown or minor, should not be part of an intimate conversation such as this regarding their own parents.”
Others are shocked to see Kim having this conversation with her children. They think that she shouldn’t speak so negatively about her husband to her kids, too.

Yes, her conversation with & behavior with both Lydia & Micah was disgustingly inappropriate!!! What a hypocrite. And, to try & blame it all on Barry, as though she wasn’t driving that bus off of the cliff!
Don’t get me wrong, I have genuine sympathy for this whole family: they went through the tragic death of baby Joshua & never had appropriate counseling (or so it seems), and the desperately needed it. And, each of them still do. They need good Biblical counseling, not someone who will use the Bible & beat them over the head, further Spiritually abusing them!
Back to the original issue, I so wish sweet Lydia had not been so afraid of her own mom to say the things she Really wanted to say! But, they were written all over her innocent face, anyway!
