If you’ve been watching Welcome to Plathville Season 4, you know all about the ups and downs of Kim’s relationship with her husband, Barry Plath. As Kim has branched out and begun doing her own thing, she’s realized that she isn’t happy in her marriage.
Most recently, she mentioned the word “divorce” when talking about her future with Barry. Throughout the rest of the season, Kim and Barry will be navigating their relationship.
In a new preview from TLC, which dropped on Wednesday, June 29, Kim gets some advice from her daughter, Lydia.

In the new Welcome to Plathville preview, Kim and Lydia sit down to talk about everything that’s going on. It’s unclear what prompted this discussion or what is specifically going on at this moment. However, it certainly seems like Kim and Lydia are having an important chat.
While sitting with her mom at the kitchen table, Lydia Plath says, “From my experiences, just one touch of the Holy Spirit heals all that.”
On the show, fans have witnessed Lydia’s religious beliefs and have seen how many aspects of her life are impacted by her faith. So, it makes sense that Lydia would offer these words to her mother.
Then, Kim asks, “When you marry a man, do you care if he loves you?”
The preview only gives a small glimpse into this conversation. So, fans will have to wait and see what else is said.
It’s possible that Kim and Lydia Plath have differing viewpoints on divorce or that Kim is trying to help her daughter understand what’s happening in her marriage. Or maybe Kim wanted to hear Lydia’s perspective on her drama with Barry.
