6 Netflix Picks That Could Take ‘Stranger Things’ Place?
It is an undeniable truth that fans will miss Stranger Things after Season 5 brings the series to an end. Given that it is one of Netflix’s most popular shows, is there a successor in place to replace it on the streaming platform? Will viewers have something equally interesting to watch on Netflix?
Here are six popular picks that could be a close competitor of Netflix’s Stranger Things or maybe not.
Is There A Worthy Stranger Things Competitor In Netflix’s Catalog?
Of course, we don’t necessarily have rock-hard evidence of what could be Netflix’s next Stranger Things. Most of Netflix’s flagships have always landed out of nowhere and made their way into our hearts. As per What’s On Netflix, Stranger Things made started streaming on Netflix in 2016 and was an instant hit. Ozark, with its negligible marketing, climbed the ladder fast. And, talking about Squid Game, it did surpass all the expectations on Netflix with a worldwide following in late 2021.
The Talisman
If you are a fan of Stephen King’s novels, this one is for you. The project was initially announced for Netflix in March 2021. However, Steven Spielberg has been trying to bring it to the big screens for more than three decades.

It is also the next project of The Duffer Brothers. While the project brings in more of an adult vibe as compared to Stranger Things, the people involved in the project sure do give you hope.
The Sandman
While superhero movies and TV shows do cater to the younger audience, they have an equally large adult audience as well. With the increasing popularity of shows such as The Boys & Invincible, it is no doubt that something in the superhero genre would surely attempt to replace Stranger Things.

Following this trend is The Sandman, which is an adaptation of a book by Neil Gaimon by the same name. An interesting thing to note about The Sandman is that the budget for its first season is $165 Million. This essentially is a mammoth number as compared to the $6 million/episode budget of Stranger Things.
Assassin’s Creed
With so many live-action adaptations, one might not want another adaptation of a video game franchise. However, this notion might change with the Assassin’s Creed franchise. So, what makes this series fall in a similar league as Stranger Things?

The thing that works for Assassin’s Creed is the fact that it is a fictional historical drama with some sci-fi sprinkled in. Moreover, each new season takes the main character to a different era in human history. So, that would be something interesting to watch!
The Chronicles of Narnia
If you loved those Narnia movies, this series might bring in a more detailed view with better twists. While Disney’s adaptations did fizzle out with time, hopefully, Netflix’s approach might bring in a better viewership.

However, the latest Netflix project by David Benioff & D.B. Weiss, The Three-Body Problem, might have the potential to grab a similar fan base.
One Piece
Netflix surely has some live-action adaptations of well-known anime shows. While some do well, others don’t. While One Piece is a popular anime, its live-action adaptation by Netflix could be just as successful.

The best thing about the live-action adaptation is the fact that Netflix has also brought on board its creator Echiriiro Oda. This will ensure that it has the same energy and magic as the anime version.
