Barry Plath Hopeless, Says Marriage Is ‘Dead On Arrival’

In the current season of the show, Kim has been finding herself. Her husband wonders if she’s having a mid-life crisis, while she claims she’s living her life for herself now. She points out that she’s been a mom and wife for nearly 25 years. So, she is doing what she wants to now instead.
On the Tuesday, June 28 episode of the show, Kim accidentally let the word “divorce” slip to her daughters. Now, later this season, Barry Plath is feeling hopeless about his marriage to Kim.

On Wednesday, June 29, TLC dropped yet another preview for the rest of the season of Welcome to Plathville. The network teases, “There is SO. MUCH. still to come on this season.”
In one scene, Kim and Barry Plath are having another discussion about their marriage. It’s a very somber moment between the Plathville parents.
Kim says, “Once I realized that you were not really loving me for who I am, that’s not a marriage I wanna save.”
Barry says, “The relationship is DOA [dead on arrival].” He looks sullen and heartbroken in the clip.
We’ll have to wait and see what else unfolds between the couple, but things are not looking good. From Kim mentioning divorce to Barry Plath claiming the relationship is dead, it’s possible things will soon come to an end.
