‘Jeopardy!’ Production Blasted For Unfair Gameplay: Inconsistent Rules?
Jeopardy! host Mayim Bialik has been under a lot of pressure lately. Fans criticized her for the way she plays the game. Some think she’s too slow, especially when it comes to the longer-than-usual pauses. Now, the fans are going after the showrunners for the unfair gameplay.
Viewers noticed the inconsistencies in each passing episode. They claim to have the “proof” that production allows misspellings. As TV Shows Ace previously reported, fans caught an embarrassing typo in a previous episode of the popular game show. This comes after the recent controversy over champ Megan Wachspress’ fourth victory last week.
Production under fire for “inconsistent” rules
Jeopardy! fans are a dedicated bunch. Most of them like the way the show ran under the late Alex Trebek. Now, they’re holding out hope that fan-favorite Ken Jennings will be announced as the new permanent host next month. Last week, fans thought Megan Wachspress “robbed” fellow contestant Sadie.
Fans are still revved up over that controversial victory. It took place during the Final Jeopardy round when Megan beat out Sadie. Mayim Bialik said that Sadie didn’t write out the answer even if it was correct. Sadie agreed with the host but appeared upset by what happened.

The win was one of the most controversial moments of Jeopardy! Season 38. Some fans took to Twitter to claim that she didn’t deserve that win. It caused so much attention that Megan tweeted her own statement. The controversy lasted well into the weekend, which fans noticing “inconsistencies” from past episodes.
Over on Reddit, one fan shared a screengrab of an old answer that was partially written and accepted. The question read, “Who is John Denve,” in which the contestant accidentally left off the “r” off the name “John Denver.” Check out that controversial answer for yourself here.

Jeopardy! champ speaks out about the controversy
Even Megan caught onto the controversy. The champ took to Twitter to address Jeopardy! fans about her win. Megan says the show should give Sadie another chance. She would like to play with her again.
“It’s probably inappropriate for me to say anything about the judges’ call in FJ yesterday (you can see my immediate reaction on tape),” Megan tweeted. “But will say I’d love to see Sadie compete again (if she wants to!). Plus it’d be cool to hear more about her fascinating family history.”

Some Jeopardy! fans appreciated Megan’s response. Others thought it was a “peculiar” moment in the show’s history. There were also fans who can understand how difficult this was for the contestants. After all, this wasn’t their call.
