‘Jeopardy!’ Ken Jennings Has Fans In Panic, Not Coming Back As Host?

Ken Jennings has fans in a panic. They think he’s not returning to Jeopardy! as the new permanent host. Jennings has been away from the podium for several weeks now. He is said to make a return by July, in time for the season finale and for the showrunners to make a decision. Mayim Bialik has been holding things down, but fans aren’t liking her hosting style.

They don’t think she can keep up with the pace of the game. More viewers have noticed that she takes long pauses to listen to cues from production. Fans also noted some of the mistakes she’s made during her time as host. Fans fear that Ken Jennings will not be the permanent host after he makes another announcement.

Ken Jennings makes a special announcement

Ken Jennings is a busy man. He already appears on The Chase, which is another quiz show on ABC. Jennings is so busy that he had to take a break from pulling double-duty on both shows. In early May, he announced that he was taking a break from hosting Jeopardy!, much to the chagrin of fans.

Some of them vowed not to watch the Mayim Bialik-hosted episodes. As a result, the ratings have taken a slight dip, especially during the Memorial Day weekend. Jennings returned to Twitter to make another announcement. He revealed that he will appear on yet another game show this summer.

Jennings share an article from Parade Magazine which announced that he will be one of the celebrity contestants on Season 6 of Pyramid. This isn’t the kind of announcement that Jeopardy! fans hoped for. They were hoping that he would share he would become the new permanent host of another classic game show.

“I’m aware that I have a very weird and specific bucket list, but this was a biggie,” Ken Jennings said. “I get to play on the next season of Pyramid!”

Mayim Bialik to become permanent host of Jeopardy?

Fans took to Ken Jennings’ tweet to ask him questions about his future on Jeopardy! Some of them fear that Mayim Bialik will end up with the position. Once again, they swore to boycott future episodes of the game show if it doesn’t happen. Some fans think Jennings is the “true host” of the Jeopardy! and to them, there is no other.

• “Does that mean you’re not the new host of Jeopardy? If you’re not, I will stop watching it.”
• “Good stuff. But way, way, way rather have you back full-time hosting Jeopardy.”
• “Please come back to hosting Jeopardy!“

However, this news also confirms that Ken Jennings still has time to host Jeopardy! He’s not the host of Pyramid, he’s only a contestant, which will last for an episode or so.
