When Artem Chigvintsev isn’t in the ballroom, he’s happy to spend a lot of time with his family. He is engaged to pro wrestler Nikki Bella and they share one son together, Matteo. Little Matteo will be two years old this summer. But today, it’s his dad’s birthday.
For many years, Artem has been popular with Dancing With The Stars viewers. They were thrilled when he finally won his first Mirrorball Trophy in Season 29.
Spending years in the ballroom and training for dance competitions keeps Artem Chigvintsev fit and young-looking. This is why many fans might be surprised to learn that the Russian dancer is turning 40 years old today.
Artem hasn’t said much about his 40th birthday plans but did acknowledge the special day on social media. More than likely, he’s going to enjoy some time at home with Nikki and Matteo.
“Woke up a year older today, thank you for all the birthday wishes🙌 Made me realize how grateful I am to have my little family 🙏” the dancer shared on Instagram.
His fans and loved ones stormed the comments section to wish him a happy birthday.

Artem Chigvintsev and Nikki Bella got engaged not long after they learned they were expecting Matteo. But then the pandemic happened, which made wedding planning very difficult. Then the baby came and both Nikki and Artem got busy with their careers. The couple is still happy and in love, but they’re struggling to find time to actually plan a wedding.
They still want to get married, but it’s just easier for the couple to stay unmarried for now.
”Once I had Matteo and I started to raise him, I was like, when I say ‘I do,’ I want to make sure it’s forever,” Nikki once told E! in an interview. “I know there are things that Artem wants too—like he really wants his parents there—but also, overall, I don’t want my son to go through a divorce.”
It seems like wedding bells will happen at some point, but not anytime in the near future.
