Little People, Big World fans are speculating about why Matt Roloff didn’t end up selling the farm to his kids. For years, he’s talked about passing the farm down to his kids. But no one has purchased it yet, and part of the property is now for sale to the public.

Online, there has been a lot of conversation about the farm going up for sale and the kids not having a chance to buy it. Fans are ultimately curious to know why things didn’t go as planned. Zach and his wife, Tori, have now purchased a new home in Washington. After learning about this, fans thought it was pretty clear that they wouldn’t be purchasing the farm.

Plus, Jeremy and Audrey Roloff have gone a different route and no longer seem to be interested in the farm. For various reasons, it looks like all of Matt Roloff’s kids’ plans have changed. Both Jeremy and Zach claim to have made offers that were rejected by Matt.

Now, fans think they might know what really happened.

Is this why Matt Roloff didn’t sell the farm to his kids?

On Reddit, fans are talking about what happened to the kids’ plans to buy the farm. They believe that Matt Roloff could have changed his mind because he feared that they couldn’t handle all of the responsibilities. Despite Jacob, Jeremy, Molly, and Zach living on the property growing up, fans think they might not have realized all that actually went into running it.

One LPBW fan speculates, “Maybe the reason Matt wants too much is because he knows his kids. Will fail with the farm and Matt has to bail them out. Houses are expensive and a lot of work. Farms need probably more work in my book.”

Ultimately, fans feel sorry for Jeremy, Jacob, Zach, and Molly. Fans think Matt Roloff didn’t give his children a fair shot at taking over the farm. One fan says, “They definitely pulled the rug from under the boys who grew up expecting to inherit/run the farm. Matt sucks.”

  1. I agree with Matt , he worked hard and so did Amy.
They gave their children memories and a closeness to each other.
Selling to a family member complicates the business side.
He most likely reduced the sale of the the property but not to the point it would interfere with his profit for retirement.
Amy got a good price and therefore should not comment on Matt.
I’m hoping by marrrying Chris her negative comments to her kids about Matt stops.
The sale of the property to Zach should have been private and Karen there for the support was unnecessary.
Hes an intelligent man I don’t believe it was needed to have her ther.
It created a negative impact on his kids.
Anyhow it’s drama for the series.

    1. You are a heartless person who has not a clue! The kids put in a lot of sweat equity with pumpkin season and other endeavors that Matt profited from his children. He is a huge a-hole!

  2. Caryn has been a major influence on Matt, in the back of her mind, she plans to inherit it herself, Matt does not have a long life ahead, just make the kids look lazy and not knowing what it takes to run the farm, they grew up there, they well know what it takes. Caryn plants all these negative thought in his head, she will get the farm, watch and see! Those kids were active people on the show, without them, there would not have been a show, they earned every penny, it was their childhood lost in front of cameras everyday growing up, they paid the biggest price, especially Jacob being sexually abised by a TLC member, so don’t call them lazy! There are over 100 acres, big deal, only 16 acres were on the table! Caryn has no business calling the shots, their not married, she controls Matt, and he is totally blind to her manipulating ways!

    1. I totally agree with you. Why Caryn was there is a mystery other than she wants to tell Matt what to do and how to do it! She is only in that relationship because she sees $$$$$$. She is a user!

    2. I agree Matt is a narcissist
I never knew jacob was sexual abused when did this come out and how did Matt and Amy take it

  3. I believe he wants money over family ‼️
He always said he couldn’t wait the the kids n grandkids to live on the farm . I call BS on him ….. he is an extremely self serving man.

My father had a cattle ranch … and it was our inheritance ‼️
He could have dropped it down for his Boys.
Unbelievable. WOW not a loving father… just a money and girlfriend loving Ass h—e‼️

  4. I don’t think Matt had any intentions of selling the farm to the kids. Of course this was his way of getting Amy to leave money on the table when she sold to him because she believed that Matt would sell to the kids. Now Matt is going above market value to rub it into Zachary for not upping the offer and to stick it to Amy for selling below market value. What kind of father/person does that?
Caryn should not have been present for Zachary’s negotiations. She wasn’t present when Matt negotiated with Amy or when he entertained Jeremy’s bid. She was his life partner then as well.
Both Matt and Caryn turn my stomach so I turn the channel for most of their narrative now. The only stars of the show are Zachary,Tori and the their beautiful children.

  5. Amy is the troublemaker in the family – she wanted out of the marriage and now she complains that it’s all Matt’s fault (NOT TRUE) – she is pitting the kids against their father now. She just can’t let the farm go – SHAME on your Amy – you are vindictive!!! TLC does not tell you all the details – so read, read, read to find the truth.

    1. Annie must be family or friend of money grubbing Caryn. Only dip wads would blame Amy. Matt and Caryn are total losers!

    2. Matt and Amy were always arguing when they were together. But, Caryn was working for them and by getting involved with Matt, she’s truly the home wrecker, not Amy.

  6. It always amazes me that people make elaborate quested to what may or may not have happened and that’s suppose to be gospel. So let’s see the facts:
Amy hates Matt and does her best to throw their Dad under the bus. Zach is a direct product if her toxicity. Two peas in a pod.

Why is it okay for Chris to be involved in Amy selling her part of the farm, but not Caryn? Why didn’t she keep her half of the property for the kids? Did she give them the money she received?

Why is it okay for Tori’s to be involved, but not Caryn?

Why is it Matt’s sole responsibility to keep the farm? Why didn’t Amy save it instead of selling it and putting the money in her pocket? She could have given the money to Zack to help buy the farm. Ummmmm? Oh yeah, she’s selfish and cunning and Matt has always been a loving Father doing everything he could for his kids growing up and now Any is the Princess and Matt is the beast? Not hardly and so far from the facts.

When you look at the individuals you see a Mother that berates her X to her kids, who does that and why? She divorced him, move on please. You see a son that stayed on the program because he apparently loves the spotlight and has no other income or ambition.

Zack is a narcissist (pls look it up) and the world revolves around him. I couldn’t imagine that aTLC would give him and Tori a spin off. I’m not interested in a hateful, nasty, resentful son lying about a wonderful Dad who loved his kids with all his heart. No denial there. Why doesn’t Zack leave the limelight? Oh yeah, I forgot he has nothing else.

Amy is resentful and uncaring. Look what she puts her kids through in order to make herself look good. Again, why didn’t she keep 1/2 of the farm for her kids? Why didn’t she share that money from the sake with her kids that she loves so much?

Zach truly believes he is better than anyone else in the family, which is what Amy taught him. Too bad she didn’t teach him manners and respect for others.

I guess from the majority of the comments Amy has been able to also lie and whine to the audience and become the poor, little victim. Another major narcissistic trait. At least Zack got his selfishness from his mother, not his loving Father. Zack, Tori and Amy have the exact same hate in their hearts. Too bad there are grand-children involved and under the influence.

PS Fact: People who have partners in their lives will always be a part of their life…..if they are lucky that is. I’m sure it’s not too late for Amy to pool her money that she profited from the sell of her 1/2 with Zack’s TLC money and buy the big house from Matt at his original offer to Whack Zack. Problem solved.

    1. WOW…you’ve said everything I’ve thought about these three money grubbing, entitled, so-called grownups. Amy is just a lost cause and a total slob. Zach and Tori feed on each other. I constantly wonder why they don’t have real jobs and how they afford all the things they have. Zach certainly doesn’t seem to want to do anything except hang around changing diapers and rocking in a chair. So they help for a few weeks selling pumpkins and doing tours; try working 12 months of the year to earn a living. I just wonder how long Chris will put up with the sniveling, privileged middle aged brat.

  7. Just a quick comment, please. Look how Zack and Tori teach their small kids to hate on their Grandfather. It’s cruel and evil. It’s not a lesson I would ever purposefully teach my small children to carry throughout their lives. A forever present from the evil Queen Amy to her kids and grandkids. Hate begets Hate. That’s an unfortunate, factual observation.

  8. Well, now I know why 98% of comments are negative towards Matt. I wrote 2 comments supporting him, Nothing rude or out of line in the slightest bit, but they weren’t approved or published. However, that just gives me hope that loving people do support Matt, but these folks just won’t publish it. Cheers, you made my night, thank you!!!

  9. Matt appears selfish, talking a lot about himself and his retirement. Did he even ask if the kids wanted anything from the farm or will that take place after he dies?
He does seem to be acting more like a business man than a father looking out for his family/ kids!

  10. Why should Matt give a multi-million-dollar farm to just one of his kids????? lol Thats ridiculous! He doesn’t have to leave any of them anything at all but if he is leaving something behind for them, it should equally divided between all the children. However, he is remarried, and she will get a chunk if not all. lol

  11. To mickiemo…Matt was screwing LITTERALLY..Karen caryn” behind Amy’s back….and that whore destroyed two families….and Matt just served himself….and mickiemo..you are an idiot…

  12. I personally believe, as a parent, that most kids these days are unwilling or incapable of making the level of sacrifice or commitment their parents made to keep the parents’ business moving forward. This is not every case but I cannot imagine Zach being successful in running that farm. Jeremy likely could do it very well but it would certainly be a big commitment from him and his wife and might strain their relationship as it fit Matt and Amy. The problem is if siblings also want an interest, selling to one would destroy relationships, (although it happened anyway it seems for the Roloffs.) If we create spoiled or entitled kids as parents, we should spend every thing we have or donate to charity rather that leaving our hard earned labor to be squandered or mismanagement by spoiled or lazy kids.

  13. Matt doesn’t owe his kids anything. Why do they feel so entitled. The kids can work and make their own money. Tori wants to remain angry because she wants Matt’s money.

  14. Amen. That’s what I got out of it too. There is a reason everyone has moved away from Matt. Just from watching I can tell he is difficult and that is why Amy finally stepped away. The bottom line for him is just money over his family – sad.
