Mama June’s Daughter Alana Shares Her One Heartbreaking Wish
Mama June has been a letdown to her children for a long time now. Luckily, it seems that Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird has raised Alana’ Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson quite well. However, in a recent photo shoot, Alana revealed a wish she has and it is extremely heartbreaking.
Mama June, Bad Example?
When Here Comes Honey Boo Boo premiered, the show was much like a car wreck viewers could not turn away from. June Shannon was the matriarch and was in a long-term relationship with Sugar Bear. He was the father to June’s youngest daughter, Alana who was also the namesake of the show. She had three older daughters, Anna, Jessica, and Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ from prior relationships. They all had their quirks which made them interesting to watch, to say the least. Scandal followed them and the show was canceled after four seasons. June soon found her relationship with Sugar Bear on the rocks. Though they tried to make it work, his infidelity was the last straw. She received a full makeover and hoped to improve her life but she soon put a man before her kids.
Geno Doak was a contractor who worked on her Georgia home. Eventually, they spent all of June’s earnings on drugs with Pumpkin becoming the guardian to Alana. June and Geno got arrested and headed to rehab. They got out but he became volatile so she left him. She claimed she was coming to stay with Pumpkin and spend time with her kids and grandchildren. Unfortunately, she was more focused on being with a new man than anything else. Luckily, Alana always had Pumpkin and her husband Josh looking out for her best interest. Back in April, a judge gave sole custody to Pumpkin which was a huge victory. Furthermore, Alana shared she had been accepted into college. Yet she may still have a ways to go.
Just One Wish
Alana seemingly has a lot going for her. She has a stable home and a great boyfriend of over a year. Unfortunately, Mama June’s youngest daughter made a sad confession. Recently, The Sun revealed that Alana and her sisters Pumpkin and Jessica were a part of a body-positive photo shoot. They wore sports bras and panties and shared what they wished they had yet they were proud of their bodies. Pumpkin was apparently around five months pregnant with her twins when the shoot took place. She gave birth to them in mid-May, a boy, and a girl according to a source close to the family.

Now, an extra photo from the shoot has come out. It is of Alana holding a sign saying she wishes she had a flat stomach. That is heartbreaking because this is about body positivity. She should be proud of who she is. Plus, her mother’s love language was always food. When she and Geno got sober, they went on an eating binge. Alana was visiting with them and she knew Pumpkin wanted her to eat healthily but June took her to eat junk. She openly said that was how she showed love and that is quite sad. Hopefully, Alana can see she is beautiful in any size.
