As of late, the news has been dominated by the tragedy of mass shootings. On May 14, 2022, 10 people died during a shooting at a Tops supermarket in Buffalo, New York.

Ten days later, 19 children and 2 teachers were gunned down in an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas.

The attacks have shocked the nation and renewed the gun control debate. Both shootings were carried out with an AK-15, per The Sun.

Outspoken Kelly Dodd waded into the gun control debate by reposting a meme going around the internet. The meme compares the school shooting to the terrorist attack on September 11, 2001.

The meme suggests that securing schools is the answer to gun violence. “After 9-11 we didn’t ban planes. We secured the cockpits. Secure the schools,” the meme read.
