How To Stream ‘The Good Doctor’ Seasons 1-5

Fans of The Good Doctor can’t get enough of the show. They want to know how they can stream the medical drama that currently airs on ABC. Only in select regions of the country, Netflix users can stream seasons one through five. The television series stars Freddie Highmore as Dr. Shaun Murphy, who is a surgical resident with autism.

He currently works at San Jose’s St. Bonaventure Hospital. The show just wrapped up its fifth season on ABC. It’s the latest medical drama that’s taken over ABC, especially since Grey’s Anatomy approaches its 19th season. The Good Doctor is nothing like its predecessor, in which it’s focused on steamy love scenes.

Is The Good Doctor available on Netflix US?

Netflix has picked up many ABC series over the last decade. Unfortunately, The Good Doctor is not one of those shows that’s available to stream on the platform. It doesn’t look like it will add Seasons 1-5 to the streaming service anytime soon. Since ABC is owned by Disney, it has a stake in Hulu, which is Netflix’s competitor.

Most ABC shows by default end up on Hulu or Disney+. In the event that a contract agreement has been made, then it’s likely that Netflix will pick up the show. However, The Good Doctor has not made an agreement with the leading streaming service. Hulu will continue to stream Seasons 1-5 on its platform.

Fans of The Good Doctor can always subscribe to Hulu if they don’t already. The ad-supported plan costs $6.99 per month (or $69.99 annually) and provides access to the full Hulu library. Or, viewers can subscribe for $12.99 per month for the same TV shows and films without ad breaks.

There’s also the option to subscribe to Hulu + Live TV now with Disney+ and ESPN+ for $69.99 per month. Hulu also has the Disney Bundle, which includes your choice of ads or no ads plans. The bundle also includes a subscription to ESPN+.

Do any outside Netflix regions stream The Good Doctor?

At the time of this writing, no outside Netflix region streams past seasons of The Good Doctor. Instead, other arrangements have been made. In the UK, the series is available on NowTV. Over in Canada, Crave picked up the license to stream Seasons 1 to 3 of The Good Doctor.

In 2020, Amazon Prime Video secured the rights to stream the series in Australia. The series is also available on Netflix AU. Seasons 1 to 3 dropped on May 4, 2021. The show is currently available on 30 Netflix regions, with most countries streaming Seasons 1 to 4, and others streaming Seasons 1 to 3.

For now, the Netflix regions that stream The Good Doctor, include Australia, Belgium, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, India, Israel, Japan, Poland, Portugal, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, and Turkey.
