On Monday, the day after the When Calls The Heart Season 9 finale, “Rock, A Bye, Baby,” Kevin McGarry shared a video of a very special moment in the season.
Kevin wrote on Instagram, “Always tough to say goodbye to the thing you love most. Season 9 in the 📚 Always gratitude #hearties 🙏 @hallmarkchannel.”

At the time When Calls The Heart Season 9 premiered, Hearties were a bit startled by Mountie Nathan Grant’s facial hair. He grew a mustache and a soul patch!
Therefore, it may not be a surprise to learn that Kevin McGarry’s major loss is his mustache. Moreover, he created two hysterical videos to show when he lost both.
The first video is of Kevin sitting in the chair of his trailer. He has a plastic hairdresser’s cape around him. That black cape has a cornucopia of mustaches imprinted with white on it. Those mustaches have names like “The Oz,” from The Wizard of Oz, “The Charlie,” after Charlie Chaplin, and “The Disco” which looks a lot like the facial hair sported by the disco band, the Village People.
We hear trumpets, and then galloping music. Kevin looks straight ahead, looking at his mustached face for one last time. Then he nods, as a face-masked woman’s arm produces a yellow electric razor. She starts to gently remove the left side of the mustache, as Kevin shuts his eyes and smiles.
Now, it is time for the soul patch, and Kevin is doing this all himself. Moving and grooving to Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get It On,” he tosses the razor from one hand to the other, before he makes a grand gesture and shaves right down the middle of the soul patch. In the background, we hear a woman laughing hysterically. Can it be his girlfriend Kayla? We never see who that is.
He then cleans it up and flips the razor to the other hand and then puts it down. Kevin then puts some cream on the area and grabs another razor, still moving his hips to the music. He shaves this area, and he is done, laughter growing in the background.
Kevin puts in a few seductive dance moves for good measure.
In the end, Kevin says, “That was pretty funny.” Did you think so, too, Hearties?
Is When Calls The Heart Returning For Season 10?
While we don’t have any When Calls The Heart Season 10 renewal information, we do know what Kevin is doing next. According to his interview with the Official Hearties podcast, he and his girlfriend Kayla Wallace are headed on a European vacation!
Perhaps on that trip, Kevin will be inspired to grow back his mustache? Hearties are you a fan of the mustache?

I will stop watching When Calls the Heart when Kevin leaves. H e was the reason I watched the series. He kept the heart alive when Jack died. I loved all the original characters but when he leaves that is it for me.
