‘Yellowstone’ Season 5 Is Biggest Ever: When Is Premiere, Who Is Back?


Yellowstone has been renewed for Season 5. Led by award-winning actor Kevin Costner as John Dutton, a growing number of fans have fallen in love with the Dutton family for four seasons now.

The Paramount series is even getting award nominations. With Season 5, this will be the biggest season ever. Do we know when the series will premiere? Moreover, who will be back?

What Is Latest Yellowstone Season 5 News?

It is time to rejoice! Yellowstone Season 5 has just started production. According to Chief Joseph Ranch’s Instagram, production has just gotten underway.

When Does Yellowstone Season 5 Premiere?

According to Deadline, the belief is that if Yellowstone begins filming on schedule in May, Season 5 will premiere in the early fall. There are even reports that have pinpointed the premiere in either August or September.
However, this is where the big part of the season comes in. There will be 14 episodes this season. According to TVLine, they are going to divide Season 5 into two even parts. That means each part will consist of seven episodes.
That means if the first half premieres in early fall, we could possibly expect the final seven sometime in the early winter.
This is the longest Yellowstone season ever!

Who Is Back For Season 5?

No Dutton died at the end of Season 4. All of your favorite Yellowstone stars will be back for Season 5.

That means Kevin Costner is back as John Dutton. In addition, so are the Dutton kids played by Luke Grimes (Kayce), Kelly Reilly (Beth), and Wes Bentley (Jamie).

Cole Hauser is returning as Rip Wheeler, Kelsey Asbille, as Monica Dutton, Forrie Smith as Lloyd Pierce, and Jefferson White as Jimmy Hurdstrom.

Kathryn Kelly (Emily), and Jen Landon (Teeter) are now series regulars.

In addition, Brecken Merrill, Ryan Bingham, Denim Richards, Ian Bohen, Finn Little, and Gil Birmingham are also back.

Piper Perabo (Summer) is also returning for Season 5.

Yellowstone Has Tapped A ‘Cultural Nerve’

Yellowstone and the Duttons have become a cultural phenomenon. When Paramount aired the Yellowstone Season 4 finale, 81 percent more viewers watched it in comparison to the Season 3 finale.

When announcing the series renewal, Chris McCarthy, ViacomCBS Media Networks CEO shared that he believes they have “tapped a cultural nerve.”

Yellowstone’s record-breaking performance proves we’ve tapped a cultural nerve and unleashed a passionate audience from the center of the country to each of the coasts. Kevin Costner leads our incredible cast who make the Duttons America’s favorite family, and this new season is sure to be another one fans won’t want to miss.

  1. Just finished bingeing Yellowstone Seasons 1-4. Daggone was that good! Although it’s definitely not family friendly it is highly entertaining and full of suspense. I’ll not miss the next 14 episodes!
