Below Deck alum Eddie Lucas is getting support from fellow franchise stars. This comes after his explosive claims in a new interview with the New York Post. The first officer admitted that the cast does not get fair wages. According to Eddie, they don’t get paid nearly as much as the Bravo Housewives.

The network is making the money off the ever-growing franchise. Eddie also confirmed that he is not returning to Season 10 of the original series. The producers did not reach out to him. Eddie expressed his “frustrations” with not returning for another season and with the little money they get for all the work they do.

Eddie Lucas is not returning to Below Deck

Since the inception of Below Deck, Eddie Lucas became a fan favorite. He made his start on the show as a deckhand. He was promoted to boatswain during Seasons 2 and 3. However, Eddie messed that up when he infamously hooked up with third stew Raquelle “Rocky” Dakota in the laundry room.

He was in a relationship at the time. Despite having a girlfriend, Eddie couldn’t resist the fun-loving Rocky who was wild and crazy. Yet, he vehemently denied they had a tryst, on and off the show. After several years, Eddie returned to Below Deck Season 8 to redeem himself. He worked as a boatswain once again.

Captain Lee Rosbach was impressed with Eddie’s work ethic. He promoted him to the role of the first officer, the position he took on during Season 9. Unfortunately, Eddie will not be reprising his role in Season 10. He told the New York Post that he was “not invited back to do another season.”

That’s when Eddie threw shade at Bravo and the Below Deck producers. He shared that the cast members are “expendable” and don’t get fair wages. Eddie suggested “somebody is monetizing off the show,” but that it’s not the cast members. In fact, he revealed they are the “lowest-paid cast members” out of the Bravo network.
