Fans of The Young and Restless have spoken. They are over Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) ridiculous podcast. They find the storyline ridiculous and silly. Fans have stormed social media to beg the show to stop “torturing” them. While podcasts are hot in the entertainment world, they’re not so hot when it comes to soap storylines.

The CBS soap must’ve looked to Hulu’s hit show, Only Murders in the Building, for inspiration. Billy Abbott ended up with his own podcast. Rather than talking about true crime, he talks about the mistakes he’s made over the years. Viewers slammed his podcast as “cringy” and “absurd.”

Billy Abbott’s BIG career change

The recent episodes of The Young and Restless have entirely focused on Billy Abbott’s new podcast. He launched The Grinning Soul podcast to work on his personal issues, rather than see a therapist. Billy thought the platform was a healthy outlet to have. He also hopes to become an inspiration to others.

Tuesday’s episode of The Young and Restless focused mainly on Billy once again. During the one-hour episode, he discussed the future of his show with his girlfriend Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). Then, he was inspired to record another installment of his podcast.

However, The Young and Restless fans are finding these scenes painfully boring to sit through. They don’t want to watch Billy Abbott talk to himself. During his time on the show, the actor has got backlash for talking to himself, chewing gum, and going back to his old ways. This time, however, he’s talking to himself on his podcast as he heals from his addiction.

Billy Abbott has made a big career change. He feels that his podcast could change lives. The troubled man has come a long way from gambling his money away. He went from a Chief Executive Officer to the founder and host of his own podcast.

The Young & Restless fans want his podcast canned

While Billy hopes that his podcast will impact people, fans of The Young and Restless are bored with the storyline. During Tuesday’s episode, they took to Reddit to share their dismay. Most of them are begging the show to stop the “torture” and put an end to his podcast. They don’t know how much longer they can take.

One fan of The Young and Restless is shocked to learn that Thompson is okay with the storyline going on forever. The Young and Restless fans agree that “it’s painful to watch.” They have a feeling that Billy is no longer needed on the soap since the writers don’t know what to do with him. However, they have a feeling that Thompson is happy to “get all that airtime to himself.”
