Does Stassi Schroeder still see herself as the victim? The Vanderpump Rules alum was slammed as “out of touch” for her new book, Off with My Head: The Definitive Basic B*tch Handbook to Surviving Rock Bottom. Critics don’t think she’s learned anything from the Faith Stowers incident and Bravo firing.

They claim that she’s painted herself as the “victim.” It all stemmed when Stassi called out “cancel culture” in the book. She shared her thoughts on being canceled and whether she still sees herself as a victim.

Critics think Stassi Schroeder hasn’t learned anything

They think she was painting herself as the victim. One fan took to Reddit to share a link to Us Weekly’s article about Stassi Schroeder’s new book. The thread is titled: “Stassi has learned nothing. In her book, Stassi Schroeder explains the incident involving former co-star Faith Stowers. She also opened up about her subsequent firing, lost endorsement deals, and canceled spinoff series. The former Bravo star calls it her “seven days of hell.” Her comments had fans claiming that she’s still painting herself as the victim.

  • “How many agents does one d-list celebrity need? She needed to cut back anyway. Wahhh, poor Stassi.”
  • “Bravo people aren’t famous outside of Bravo. Like without Bravo she’s got nothing. And she knows it. Which is why she’s milking it with garbage books.”
  • “She and Chrissy Teigen should hang out.”
  • “Wow. Speechless. Mostly because of the spinoff stuff and her not understanding why she was canceled.”
  • “She is so out of touch and can’t realize these are all consequences of her own actions.”

Former Pump Rules star addresses the criticism

Stassi Schroeder appeared in her first-ever interview on Tamron Hall’s talk show since her firing in September 2021. She initially claimed she “needed to be a victim” of cancel culture in order to learn about her actions. Now, she’s admitting that she doesn’t see herself as one. In the April 2022 interview on her friend Taylor Strecker’s podcast, Taste of Taylor, Stassi recognized why she had to be held accountable.

She also thinks that critics got the gist of her book wrong. Stassi claims she wasn’t trying to paint herself as the victim. The former fashion blogger understands that what she did was wrong.

“I know there is so much focus on cancel culture with this book because that’s all of what people know of me right now like that’s what it is but I was wrong,” Stassi Schroeder said on Taste of Taylor. “Like I’m not the victim in this situation, I was wrong for the things I did and I’ve learned from that and I think like what I really want the takeaway from ‘Off With My Head’ to be isn’t like that cancel culture is hard.”

Rather, she wrote the book from her perspective. Stassi hopes that her fans will use the guide to help improve their own lives. She thinks “people can change” and “that should be celebrated.” The writer is hoping that her book will encourage others to change themselves for the better.
