‘Unexpected’: Lawrence Giving Fans ‘Bad Vibes’?

Unexpected fans have had no problems voicing their opinions on Kylen Smith’s boyfriend Jason Korpi. Now it seems they have questionable feelings about Lilly Bennett’s fiance, Lawrence Bishop. Do their feelings hold merit?

Unexpected Fans Meet Lawrence

Viewers first met Lilly in Season 1 of the hit TLC reality series. She appeared alongside her boyfriend, James and they were preparing for teen parenthood. Unfortunately, he was not all that invested in trying to learn how to become a better father. In his mind, he felt that because he had several siblings, he did not need any preparation or training. He actually left Lamaze class, believing it was a waste of money and this caused a further divide in the relationship. To try to make it better, James decided to give Lilly a promise ring. He hoped this would mend any and all broken fences. Sadly, their situation was beyond repair and the couple broke up. Lilly welcomed their daughter Aaliyah and exited the series.

When she returned in Season 4, she had some news to share. Not only did she have a new boyfriend, Lawrence but the pair were expecting their first child together. They welcomed a baby boy, Lawrence in November 2020 shortly after the couple got engaged. Lilly, Lawrence, and the two children made their return for Season 5. It was time for them to move in together away from Lilly’s mom but the couple struggled on their own. There were constant fights about Lilly not keeping the house tidy enough as a stay-at-home mom and it was any wonder they had not broken up. Now fans are speaking up about how frustrated have become with Lawrence’s behavior.

Is He Just Too Much?

Since the couple have moved in together, Lawrence has not come off in the best light. A Reddit thread has started over his behavior and it’s not looking good for him. “Does anyone else think he is expressing toxic masculinity? He always seems so aggressive, not necessarily in an abusive way, but always upset,” the thread started. Another added: “I don’t think Lawrence is an awful parent or guy, he just gives me bad vibes occasionally.”

Several took exception to the fact that Lawrence does not always appear to greet Lilly’s daughter, Aaliyah. Furthermore, they don’t appreciate how he undermines being a SAHM. They need to learn how to better communicate if they will ultimately have a successful marriage and long-term relationship.

Do you think Lawrence has some red flags or are the fans just being overprotective? Let us know in the comments and watch Unexpected Sundays on TLC.

  1. Play lost mean when he said on day one that the baby was born that it’s my baby I’m gonna raise in the way I want and you were not going to tell me what to do if my kids and she said he’s equally my kid and he said no he’s not. That’s when I would’ve said OK we need to set the ground rules now
