Teen Mom 2 alum Chelsea Houska lost big time on her investment. She recently sold her home for $45,000 under the original asking price. This comes on the heels of the news of her $3 million-dollar legal battle. The MTV star sold her South Dakota home, which features six acres of farmland and country views.

It sounds like a bargain for a beaut of a home. The 30-year-old and her husband, Cole DeBoer found the perfect land to build their dream farmhouse. They have since moved into that property in December 2020. Chelsea and Cole initially listed their old home for $600,000 on June 2, 2021, but had to drop the asking price.

Former Teen Mom 2 star lost out on a big investment

According to the real estate records obtained by The Sun, the former Teen Mom 2 couple agreed to an offer for $550,000. They signed the deal off on July 16, 2021. The South Dakota residents accepted an offer for $555,000. Just because they missed out on the original offer doesn’t mean that they didn’t make some money out of it.

The reality stars still walked away with $100,000. In June 2018, Chelsea and Cole purchased the 3,466-square-foot home for $435,000. Their home is currently valued at $509,500, according to Realtor. The home has six bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The beautiful house features white cabinets that are situated on white and brown countertops. It also comes with a center island, stainless steel appliances, and a walk-in pantry. Chelsea and her husband updated the home with dark hardwood floors. Their laundry room is reminiscent of their farm lifestyle with its black-and-white plaid walls.

The property is also home to their many farm animals, including cows, goats, pigs, and chickens. There are also outbuildings and an oversized garage. Teen Mom 2 fans have slammed Chelsea for her expensive home decor. But, she doesn’t let the criticism get to her

Chelsea Houska is in the midst of a legal battle

The sale of their home comes amid Chelsea’s pricey lawsuit against her former consulting manager who works for Envy. The company accused the former Teen Mom 2 star and her husband of retaining the profits they earned through social endorsements. Both The Sun and The Ashley’s Reality Roundup have reported the details of her legal war.

The former Teen Mom 2 stars have since denied the claims against them. Their representative sent a statement to The Ashley’s Reality Roundup. Then, Chelsea and Cole filed a counterclaim in May 2020, alleging that Envy withheld $150,000 from them. Their meditation was scheduled for Friday, April 22.

“The parties remain optimistic that they will be able to resolve this dispute through mediation and will promptly report to the Court whether the mediation was successful,” reads a letter to the judge on their behalf obtained by The Sun.
