Counting On fans are heartbroken after hearing a new confession from Jessa Seewald. The Duggar daughter got honest and open with fans over some pretty heavy topics. It’s safe to say that she hasn’t had an easy journey, and now, people are feeling sorry for her. So, what did Jessa talk about with fans?

These days, Jessa tends to share positive posts about her kids and all of the good, pretty parts of her life. She doesn’t often share about the hard topics.

Jessa Seewald gets sympathy after sharing her story.

On her YouTube channel in August 2020, Jessa Seewald shared a video about her faith journey. This Easter, the TLC star re-shared the post on social media so fans could re-watch it. She wanted to reach more people with her story.

In the video, she explained, “In this video, I open up about my spiritual journey. After years of struggling with doubts and depression, I came to truly understand the glory of the gospel of Jesus Christ.”

In the description of the video, the Duggar daughter wrote:

“When I was young, I ‘prayed the prayer’ and ‘asked Jesus into my heart,’ but I wasn’t truly converted. In this video I open up about my spiritual journey. After years of struggling with doubts and depression, I came to truly understand the glory of the gospel of Jesus Christ. This is the story of God’s grace in my life. I pray you find encouragement as you listen.”

Over on Reddit, Duggar snarkers are heartbroken over Jessa Seewald’s post. Though they typically criticize the Duggars, this post made them especially sad. Someone says, “This legit breaks my heart. I’ve been watching the early specials and I wanna steer far away from being an armchair psychologist but nevertheless some of the traits I saw in her from a young age are things I recognized within myself as a depressed child.”

Someone else adds, “You are most likely pushing down your trauma and making it worse in the future. Just see a therapist. It won’t hurt.”
