Former DWTS host drags Tyra Banks as a ‘diva’
Dancing With The Stars fans may not remember that Tom Bergeron had another co-host before Erin Andrews. Model and actress Brooke Burke co-hosted the show from Season 10 to Season 17.
Before that, she was a contestant and won the Mirror Ball Trophy with pro dancer Derek Hough on Season 7.
In 2020, ABC made the shocking decision to fire both Bergeron and Erin Andrew and replace them with Tyra Banks. The former model previously hosted America’s Next Top Model.
Fans of the show have been slow to fully embrace Banks as host. In another shocking move announced last week, Dancing With The Stars is moving from network TV to the Disney+ streaming app. ABC has yet to announce if Tyra Banks will return as host.
However, if she does, Brooke Burke suggests she drop the ‘diva’ attitude. During a recent podcast appearance, the former co-host called Tyra out for making the show all about her, per Us Weekly.
“You’re just not the star as the host. It’s just not about you as the host, right?” Brooke Burke said about Tyra’s behavior.
Would Brooke Burke ever join Real Housewives?
Pivoting from DWTS, Brooke Burke also addressed becoming the latest Bravolebrity. On the Behind the Velvet Rope podcast, she revealed that she’s been approached to join The Real Housewives several times over the years.
She told podcast host David Yontef that The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills came calling with an offer.
Unfortunately for her fans, it doesn’t seem like she’s interested in joining the reality show. She mentioned how much she likes her privacy.
“I like my family life. I like the time with my man,” Brooke said about the idea of joining the show.
She’s currently dating commercial real estate developer Scott Rigsby. The couple got engaged in 2021. Brooke was previously married to actor David Charvet.
As a California native in the entertainment industry, she is close friends with several RHOBH stars, including Lisa Rinna. However, the former DWTS host doesn’t think she can “hang out with a bunch of chicks and get drunk and fight.”
Heavy reports that Brooke Burke isn’t saying no to reality TV. She said on the podcast that she would be interested in doing “an entrepreneurial type of show.”

Brooke Burke may not be joining RHOBH any time soon, but Season 12 features two new cast members. Will Smith’s ex-wife, Sheree Zampino, will appear in a ‘Friend Of’ role. Newbie Diana Jenkins joins the full-time cast.
Crystal Minkoff, Sutton Stracke, Lisa Rinna, Kyle Richards, Dorit Kemsley, Erika Jayne, and Garcelle Beauvais are all returning. Additionally, Kyle’s sister Kathy Hilton will make appearances.
