EST that Amy took to Instagram to announce she had kicked off her week by suffering a heartbreaking loss. Who passed away? Keep reading for the details.

Amy Halterman Suffers Tragic Loss: Who Died?

Now, the thought of Amy Halterman suffering a tragic loss is sure to send concerned chills down fans’ spines. Did her sister Tammy Slaton pass away? Is the baby alright? While it is bittersweet, we are happy to report both her sister Tammy Slaton and her unborn child are fine. Amy Halterman lost someone else near and dear to her heart. She lost her dog Little Bit.

AsΒ 1000-Lb. Sisters fan know, Little Bit has been with Amy Halterman for a long time. Likewise, the dog made several appearances on the show. What fans may have not realized was just how old Little Bit was. According to Amy Halterman’s post announcing Little Bit’s passing, the dog was 22 years old. In the comments, fans admit they were a bit surprised to learn just how old Amy’s furbaby was.

There was a lot of love in the comments for Amy Halterman despite the post being just a few hours old. Fans had nothing but kind words for the TLC personality as they joined her in saying goodbye.   3. I am so sorry Amy about Lil Bit. My heart is broken. I never missed an episode and was so happy to see your fur baby. I know how you feel I lost my chihuahua honey at age 2 and I still haven’t gotten over her and it’s been 3 years I bless you and I am sending love your way.

    1. First I’m sorry for your loss. We rescuing a German Shepard and when we were at the shelter their were tons of lil bits. So many I couldn’t count. They say when they increase on TV people go out and buy one then can’t take care of it. So they end up in the rescue. So if you like the breed go get another one.

  7. So sorry for your loss. I lost my beloved pet in 2006. She was 17 I had her since the 5th grade and she passed while I was in grad school. Pets are very special family members. God Bless.
