Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz are handling their divorce differently. The former couple has unique reactions to the news. In March, they shocked fans when they announced their split on Instagram. Just a week later, Katie filed the divorce papers.

She feels like a new woman these days. Katie has been flaunting different looks on social media. She’s also been spending more time with her friends. The Vanderpump Rules star revealed that she’s ready to start dating again.

Meanwhile, Schwartz is still having a hard time moving on. The two still live together which will make for an awkward split. He’s still holding onto his wedding reason for a particular reason.

Tom Schwartz refuses to remove his wedding ring

Schwartz is struggling to deal with their divorce. The Bravo star won’t even utter the “d” word, as noted in his Instagram announcement. He explained why he’s still wearing his wedding ring after Katie Maloney filed for divorce. The TomTom manager shared his feelings onstage during The Spilling Tea Live with Zack Peter and Adam Newell Show on Thursday, April 7.

“There was such a profound love there and I feel naked without it,” Tom Schwartz said, per Page Six. “I’m not clinging on. I am not.”

Schwartz was not alone at the event. He was joined by his business partner and best friend Tom Sandoval. Both of them spoke with Zack Peter and Adam Newell for a bit. Then an attendee asked Schwartz how he’s been doing since the divorce.

“I’m actually solid,” he simply responded. “Relatively speaking, after what I’ve seen other people go through, I’m pretty good. I’m OK. I think I’m OK. I’m as good as you can be coming out of a long-term relationship where you’ve been madly in love with someone.”

Sandoval pointed at Schwartz’s wedding ring. He says it’s “giving me hope.” Sandoval often butted heads with Katie Maloney on Season 9 of Pump Rules. Despite their differences, Sandoval is hoping that the couple will get back one day. He joked that he didn’t “want mom and dad to split.”

Katie Maloney is excited about dating

At the event, Schwartz confirmed that he and Katie Maloney are still living together at their Valley Village home out of “necessity [and] practicality.” On the Friday, April 8 episode of the Dear Media post You’re Gonna Love Me, Katie talked about dating. She admitted that she is ready to start dating again.

However, she’s nervous about entering the dating world. She hasn’t dated in since she was with Schwartz for about 12 years. During the podcast, she exchanged dating horror stories with Dayna Kathan from Season 8 of Vanderpump Rules. She learned a lot about dating red flags from the SUR-ver.
