Jedidiah and his wife, Katey, seem to be enjoying getting to know each other as they adjust to married life. The couple got married on April 3, 2021, so they are celebrating their one-year anniversary. Any day now, they will be welcoming their first child, a baby boy, to the world.
On social media on Saturday, April 2, Jedidiah and Katey shared a rare post with fans. They are pretty quiet online but surfaced to document their first year of marriage and let fans know what they’ve been up to.
In their new post, Katey and Jedidiah Duggar wrote:
“Celebrating our first anniversary with an amazing #weekendtoremember marriage retreat!”
Katey’s baby bump is visible, which fans haven’t seen much of so far.

On Reddit, Duggar family critics noticed something different about Katey in these new photos. She’s wearing a pair of blue skinny jeans. In the past, she’s always worn skirts or dresses, just like the rest of the Duggar women. But now, she’s doing things differently.
Some Duggar snarkers think that this might be a political scheme by Jedidiah. One Reddit user says, “If he is still wanting to do politics, then he may want her to look a bit more modern by wearing jeans.”
Someone else shares their theory, writing, “I think probably the main reason he’s allowing her to wear pants is that she’s so heavily pregnant and those pants look like they probably have a stretchy front so pregnant women can wear them.”
Though the Duggar women are expected to wear skirts or dresses while living under Jim Bob’s roof, their husbands supposedly make the rules when they get married. So, maybe Jedidiah Duggar was the one who decided to “let” Katey start wearing pants.
