Counting On fans have been curious to know whether Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar’s children will have large families of their own. It looks like some of them are choosing to follow in their parents’ footsteps, while others have taken a slower approach. Michelle and Jim Bob have 19 kids, plus they have custody of a relative’s son, Tyler.
On their TLC shows, the couple often talked about having as many children as God would give them. They also spoke against the use of birth control.
So, might all of their children go the same route?
Michelle & Jim Bob Duggar’s family is always growing.
If you’re a Duggar fan, you probably know that Jim Bob and Michelle have many grandchildren. Two more babies are known to be on the way. Katey Duggar, Jedidiah’s wife, will give birth in April. Jill and Derick Dillard’s third baby will arrive in July. Both Katey and Jill are pregnant with baby boys.
There are rumors that other Duggars are pregnant, but no one else has made an announcement yet.
Might some of the kids decide to have smaller families?
Only time will tell whether any of Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar’s kids decide to stick to having just a couple of kids. It may be years before we get any answers because some of the younger Duggar kids are far off from getting married and having the chance to start families of their own.
Over on Reddit, Duggar family critics are discussing the possibility of some of Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar’s kids having two kids.
Which Duggar kids might choose to have smaller families?
Duggar snarkers seem to agree that John and Abbie Duggar will only have two or three kids in total. They already have a two-year-old daughter, Gracie. Abbie is rumored to be pregnant again. But she had hyperemesis gravidarum during her first pregnancy and was hospitalized several times. This could affect her decision to have more children.
Another Duggar critic wonders if the family being off of TLC will influence the number of kids they have. Maybe Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar’s appearance on TLC previously encouraged their children to have large families.
They comment, “They don’t have the same image to uphold. I think as the years go on, less will have huge families. I think with the internet and social media, they will more and more see that they are not the norm and it will be more acceptable to think for themselves.”
Some Duggar snarkers believe that Jill and Derick will try to have a girl next. Similarly, some think that Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo, who have two daughters, will try to have a son.
So, do you think that any of the Duggar kids will have smaller families with just two or three children? Or do you think many of them will continue to follow in their footsteps?
