‘Y&R’ BOMBSHELL: Jordi Vilasuso OUT As Rey Rosales, Back To ‘DOOL’?

Jordi Vilasuso is out as Rey Rosales. The actor will be leaving Young and the Restless. This may come as a shock to fans of “Shey,” known as Rey and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case). What does this mean for the couple? Does this also mean that Vilasuso is heading back to Days Of Our Lives?

Rey is still married to Sharon in Genoa City. The couple overcame their marital issues and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Rey and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) also seemed to be getting closer. However, that may not happen after all.

Rey Rosales leaving Genoa City?

The April 11, 2022 issue of Soap Opera Digest reveals that Jordi Vilasuso is out at Y&R. He confirmed that he will be leaving his role as Rey Rosales. His exit date hasn’t been announced yet. He only shared that he will be leaving the CBS soap later this spring.

Vilasuso first joined the show in 2018. His first airdate was on August 17, 2018. He took on the role of Rey Rosales, who served on the Genoa City Police Department. Rey also caught the eye of Sharon, who he used to work with.

Their long and drawn-out romance finally came to fruition. At the time, Rey was part of the Rosales family, who was onscreen. He’s the only one left in the family that’s still in Genoa City. The rest of his family members went back to Miami.

Sharon and Rey celebrated their one-year anniversary as a married couple in 2022. The couple hit a rough patch in their marriage. Sharon is focused on their family while Rey wants a family on his own. He wishes they would have a child together.

Rey also wishes they would spend more alone time together. Most of their time is spent with her family. Sharon can’t help but focus on her oldest children. This caused a strain in their relationship.

Jordi Vilasuso heading back to DOOL?

It’s likely that Jordi Vilasuso is leaving the Young and the Restless for Days of Our Lives. He has played numerous characters on daytime television for years. He first appeared on Guiding Light as Tony Santos from 2001 to 2003. Vilasuso also acted on ABC’s classic soap All My Children as Dr. Griffin Castillo.

He became a permanent resident of Pine Valley from 2010 until the show’s finale in 2011. In 2013, Vilasuso joined the online version of the AMC reboot. Before he moved to Y&R, he took on the role of Dario Hernandez on Days of Our Lives from 2016 to 2017.
